In the last 12 years, the world witnessed at least 21 popular revolutions. Countries such as Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Georgia, Iran, among others, have seen uprisings that have, in many cases, demolished authoritarian regimes that had been dragging on for decades. But what do these revolutions have in common and what makes their banners so often identical? What is the part played by international NGOs and social networks? This documentary debates these recent uprisings from the viewpoint of international geopolitics and these countries’ entrance into the western sphere of influence.
