Iranian state television reported on Sunday (March 1) that the country’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Abdolrahim Mousavi, was killed in joint U.S.–Israel airstrikes targeting key Iranian sites.

Mousavi was reportedly among about 30 senior Iranian leaders and military officials hit during Saturday’s strikes.
