00:00Now to WWE, where Saturday night six superstars will collide inside the
00:04Elimination Chamber to secure a championship match at WrestleMania.
00:08One of them, Rhea Ripley, the second time competing in the Elimination Chamber.
00:13She famously won in 2024 when it was held in her home country of Australia.
00:19And with that, we are pleased to be joined by WWE superstar Rhea Ripley,
00:23who is with us here on SportsCenter.
00:25First of all, Rhea, thank you for making time for us.
00:27I feel like we should just have an Elimination Chamber match in life.
00:30I love the title.
00:31I love the name.
00:32I love the event.
00:33And I also mentioned back in 2024, it was in your home country of Australia.
00:37What was that like for you to be there with your family in attendance?
00:41It was absolutely wild.
00:43Just going back to Australia and having WWE go there, it was just such a wild experience.
00:48And being able to be on the show and just, like, see my family in the front row
00:54and be the main event of Elimination Chamber, it was just, it was a dream come true.
00:59It really was.
01:01I don't even know how to really put it into words because it was just such a special night
01:04for me.
01:06And it was wild because, like, normally I'm so in the zone.
01:09I'm so, like, Rhea Ripley, you know, in that moment.
01:12But, like, I remember doing my entrance and seeing my mom and my dad and my sister and
01:16my best friend and, like, all the family and friends in the front row.
01:19And I instantly got emotional and just, like, overwhelmed.
01:23But, like, I just, I felt so happy to be there, surrounded by, like, my Australian crew.
01:30I think that's amazing.
01:31I was going to ask you, because you're right.
01:32You're in that mode.
01:34But did you plan on looking their way?
01:37Did you know where they were?
01:38Is it just one of those things where you were just looking around the arena and there they
01:41were and it caught your attention?
01:42Yeah.
01:43So I didn't actually know where they were sitting.
01:44I had a feeling that they'd be somewhere close.
01:46But I didn't actually know exactly where they were.
01:50But they were right there, like, bang in the middle, camera side.
01:53And it was just, like, as soon as I did my entrance, I was just, like, wow, I can't
01:57believe that this is my life.
01:58And I get all my loved ones here to come watch this amazing moment.
02:03Yeah, so cool you got to experience that.
02:05Speaking of experience, the Elimination Chamber, what is something that no one warns you
02:10about before you actually get in there and do it about the Elimination Chamber?
02:15Um, just how much your anxiety spikes being stuck in one of those pods.
02:20Um, that's the main one.
02:22You go into the match and you know it's going to be brutal.
02:25You know it's going to be painful and the still is not going to feel good on your body.
02:29You know all these things just by, like, looking at the Elimination Chamber.
02:34But what you don't take into consideration is if you're not the first two, you don't know
02:41how long you're going to be standing in that pod for.
02:43Right.
02:43So, like, you have so much time to, to think and, like, rev yourself up and, and then doubt
02:50yourself and talk yourself out of it and then rev yourself back up.
02:53And it's just, it's craziness just standing there.
02:57Um, but that's all part of the game, you know, it's all part of the fun.
03:00Um, I love Elimination Chamber.
03:03I've only been in one and I had the time of my life because even though, yes, it is a
03:08little
03:08bit claustrophobic in those pods, as soon as you get let out, it's time to wreak havoc.
03:13So, yeah, I feel like you and I are on the same wavelength there because the next thing
03:17I was going to ask is what's it like?
03:18I mean, it has to be claustrophobic.
03:20You have to be comfortable, uncomfortable in there, especially if you're in there for a long time.
03:24Yeah, literally.
03:25And it's like, you're just watching all this chaos just transpire right in front of you.
03:30And you're like, I could be let out in the next minute.
03:33I could be let out in the next five.
03:35I don't really know.
03:36Um, I don't know what the landscape of the match is going to look like.
03:39By the time I get into it, everyone could be down.
03:41It could be easy or everyone could be up waiting for my pod to open.
03:44Um, so it's just, it's the unknown.
03:48You know, I want to talk about your career because you started wrestling as a teenager.
03:53You've been doing it for quite some time now.
03:55How might your preparation and your routine and everything that you go to get ready for
03:59a match, how might that have changed since you got in as a teenager?
04:03Um, I feel like when I first started, I made time for myself before matches.
04:11Uh, I would listen to music, I would get in the zone, um, I would have to like pump myself
04:16up because I would be so nervous.
04:18Now I still get nervous, probably to the same extent, to be completely honest, but I don't
04:24really have time to rev up.
04:26I, I'm normally running around like a chicken without a head, um, here in WWE.
04:31So by the time that my music hits, it's kind of just like, I'm Rhea Ripley.
04:35It's time to kill.
04:36It's time to go out there and bring the brutality and win the match.
04:40I cannot wait for this weekend.
04:42It's going to be so fun to watch Rhea Ripley with us.
04:44Best of luck this weekend.
04:46Thank you so much for joining us on a busy Monday.
04:48I hope you're not in the elimination chamber for too long.
04:51Let's make it quick.
04:52Let's get it done.
04:52And let's watch.
04:53You have some fun on Saturday.
04:55Let's hope so.
04:56Let's get it done.
04:56Let's get it done.
04:59Let's get it done.
05:01Let's get it done.
05:06Let's get it done.
05:06Let's get it done.
05:06Let's get it done.
05:06Let's get it done.
05:07Let's get it done.
