Love Turns Violent in Bidadi: Woman Stabs Gym Trainer Boyfriend Over Marriage Refusal

In a shocking reversal of typical assault cases linked to failed relationships, a 30-year-old woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend after he reportedly avoided her and refused to marry her.

The incident occurred in Bidadi in Ramanagara taluk of Bengaluru South district. The injured man has been hospitalised in serious condition, while the accused woman has been taken into police custody.

According to police, Sudha (30) allegedly attacked her boyfriend Venugopal (27), a gym trainer working in Bidadi. Sudha was employed at a private company. The two reportedly met at a gym and had been in a relationship for about a year despite their age difference.

Police said Sudha frequently visited Venugopal’s residence. However, over the past four months, he had allegedly been avoiding her and refused to marry her. She also suspected him of having an affair with another woman.

Investigators said that for the past month, Venugopal had allegedly been evading her calls and making excuses to avoid meeting her. Sudha had reportedly been carrying a knife in her bag for the past week.

On the day of the incident, she allegedly called Venugopal out of his house in the evening, saying she wanted to talk. After a brief conversation, she allegedly stabbed him in the chest, stomach and arm before fleeing the scene.

Venugopal, bleeding profusely, managed to call his family and friends. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where his condition remains critical.

A case has been registered at the Bidadi Police Station, and the accused is being questioned. Further investigation is underway.
