00:00The Snow had other plans.
00:01You were going to be in town, not just for Traders, but for Survivor 50, which isn't such a milestone,
00:07Survivor 50.
00:08How are you feeling about that?
00:09It's so cool.
00:10Yeah, it was amazing.
00:11The premiere was last night.
00:14It was three hours long, which, you know, in my world, I was like, three hours.
00:19But I got to tell you, it went by pretty quick.
00:21I think they really knocked it out of the park.
00:25There was a little bit of that old-school nostalgia feel to the premiere, and I'm excited for that season
00:33as well.
00:34It's a great week in television this week.
00:37Yeah, I know.
00:38There's a lot to watch.
00:39I mean, as Mr. Survivor yourself, when you kind of look back on your experience in however many seasons you
00:46can—I can't even count the number of seasons that you—
00:48Literally.
00:49To me, you are the face of Survivor.
00:53Do you think that you would ever return for another season now that—I feel like the spirit of Survivor has
00:59in some ways reignited.
01:01I feel like it's permeating pop culture in a very strong way again.
01:04It's almost like a renaissance.
01:06And with you being on the Traders and people rediscovering how incredible you are on reality TV, would you ever—I
01:13feel like you're giving me a look that says no, you wouldn't.
01:15I mean, like, full disclosure, they asked me to come, you know, and participate if I wanted to participate in
01:23season 50.
01:24And the truth is, it's not that I wouldn't like to play or that I don't love the game or
01:32I wouldn't embrace the challenge.
01:34It's just that I feel like my journey with Survivor has been completed.
01:40I went on the show.
01:41I didn't win.
01:42I struggled.
01:43I met my wife.
01:44I came back.
01:45I fought.
01:46I fought.
01:47I won the show.
01:49And then I came back again for the winter's season, for the celebration.
01:53And I just wanted somebody else to have a shot because there were only so many spots available.
01:59And I do feel like I've played—I've been out there six times.
02:02I've played five times.
02:03Once as a mentor, they built a big statue of me.
02:06Yeah.
02:06Like, I love Survivor, and I'm internally grateful for everything the show has ever given to me.
02:13But, like, I feel like my journey on Survivor is complete.
02:18And, you know, it's been awesome.
02:20Yeah, that's a beautiful way to look at it.
02:21Like, you did the thing.
02:23You know what I mean?
02:23You checked every box.
02:25And I also do love that you're opening it up for maybe some single Survivor alums to find love, like
02:30you did.
02:30You know?
02:30You're like, guys, mix and mingle.
02:32Every show can be a dating show if you put your heart to it.
02:35I mean, we could get Rob Roush out there on Survivor.
02:39Dylan out on Survivor.
02:41All my buddies from all the other shows, I think we should make a tribe of Rob's tribe and put
02:47them on the island.
02:47Going back to Survivor a little bit, I'm kind of curious, Rob.
02:50Have your kids watched all your seasons of Survivor?
02:54You know, like, I don't, like, as a family, we haven't sat down and watched them all together.
02:59But they're at the age now where they have their own phones and they see the clips and stuff.
03:05And I think at some point they've gone back, maybe unbeknownst to Amber and I, and they have seen, you
03:13know, the old seasons of Survivor.
03:15Do they ever ask you questions?
03:17Like, what it was like?
03:18What was it like meeting mom?
03:20Like, do they ever – are they curious?
03:21Because I would be so curious if I was your child.
03:24They are a little bit, but they're also teenage girls, so, like, they could care less a little bit, too,
03:31you know?
03:32But they are, I think, like, secretly, like, proud of it, you know?
03:38So, actually, on the premiere last night, they showed a brief clip of Amber and I on season 40, the
03:46winners at war season.
03:48And they were very little at the time, but they came to the island, so they saw themselves on TV.
03:54They were excited about that.
03:55We'll see you guys.
03:57We'll see you guys.
