00:00Another player who's jumped into the top 75 in terms of ADP, George, for the Arizona Diamondbacks.
00:06I mean, not a player that really was thought of very much at all a couple of years ago and
00:10now has emerged as a young star of the game.
00:14Geraldo Perdomo was just taken over that position by Storm.
00:17He got a contract extension, and he's a star on the Diamondbacks.
00:20C.J. Abrams, a little bizarre year for him last year, to say the least, but he's in the top
00:2410.
00:25Mike Cal Garcia qualifies it short, but of course, we know he's not going to play there every day.
00:29Bo Bichette qualifies it short, too, but we know he's moving to third base.
00:32Corey Seager, Jeremy Pena coming off a nice season, and then Trevor Story of the Boston Red Sox.
00:39Obviously, a significant drop-off, I think, as you kind of go through this, but I'd still be very happy
00:46with Perdomo on my team.
00:47And Bo Bichette, I still think, could have a big year.
00:49And look, the question with Corey Seager isn't if he's going to have a good year.
00:53It's just how much is he going to play?
00:56Well, I 1,000% agree with you about Corey.
00:58Corey, I would take Corey on every one of my teams who could tell me it's 130 games plus.
01:02All right, I'll take 130 plus here, but we just don't know.
01:04All right, he gets hurt all the time.
01:06So we'll see, but I do like him.
01:08The player I was talking about was the guy you already played up here.
01:10That's Perdomo.
01:11Love Perdomo.
01:12He'd be in my top, if not top five, top six right there as far as shortstops are concerned here.
01:17C.J. Abrams, I think, will rebound here.
01:19They said it was a weird year last year.
01:20We've heard his name mentioned in the trades as well, but Watson wants a ton for him.
01:24And I don't blame for that.
01:25I don't love Bichette this year.
01:28All right, I generally don't like players who are going from one league to the other.
01:32All right, plus you throw in the fact that he's leaving artificial turf.
01:35He's leaving a band box in Toronto, right?
01:37It was a very small ballpark.
01:38It was small before they brought the fences in.
01:40Smaller now.
01:40City feels more of a pitcher's park there.
01:42So I have my concerns all over the place with Bichette.
01:44Especially now moving to third base as well.
01:46No, I'll be avoiding him at all costs here.
01:48Maybe I'll be wrong, but I'm not taking that chance.
01:50And Trevor Story, he had a nice rebound year last year, Greg, where, you know, I don't mind getting him
01:57around 11, around 12.
01:59Not at all.
01:59That's about where he's going right now.
02:01There are a lot of shorts that's going before him.
02:02Some people still don't believe it.
02:03Listen, that is the risk.
02:04I'm not so sure.
02:05I'm totally convinced he's going to do it again either.
02:08But he was really good last year.
02:10Do you remember that spring training that he had when he was a rookie?
02:13I alluded to that earlier in the show where I think he hit like 11 spring training home runs, George.
02:17And, you know, it was like, I mean, I want to say it was a long time ago, probably eight,
02:21nine years ago, maybe 10.
02:23And then the question was, can he continue to do it?
02:25And he immediately did, right?
02:27Opening day, he hit one.
02:28And I think he hit like six of his first seven games or something like that, too.
02:32Yeah, you play in Colorado, too.
02:34He moved in with a lot of boards, right?
02:36It was eye-opening what he could do there.
02:38Trevor Story said, I think he's found it again.
02:42I'm not saying he's going to be that guy who was in Colorado, but Fenway's not that far from Colorado
02:45as far as a ballpark.
02:46So I kind of like what Boston's doing here.
02:49I'm going to be better.
02:49I wouldn't want to run multiple teams, like three, four of my teams, but one or two, I'd be good
02:54with Trevor Story.
02:56Let's take a look real quick here as we continue on at shortstops.
02:59And then after we come back for the break, we'll break these down a little bit more intensely.
03:04Willie Adamas, right now, he checks in as an ADP of 119.
03:08That's down from last year.
03:10Same with Jackson Holiday, who's going to miss some time down from last year as well.
03:15Dansby Swanson of the Cubs.
03:17Jacob Wilson, what a fantastic rookie season he had last year.
03:22Xavier Edwards of Miami, who's going to play second but does qualify as short.
03:26Colson Montgomery, young star on the White Sox.
03:29I think this is a name to circle for the future, George.
03:31And then Bryson Stott, pretty reliable, but just not sexy enough, I guess, for some.
03:35I mean, you know you're getting 15, 20 home runs, and that's about it.
03:38You're not going to get more.
03:39You're not going to get less.
03:41I kind of like Bryson Stott.
03:42I do, and I think you put it perfectly.
03:43He's not sexy.
03:44All right?
03:45He's just – you're going to get solid numbers here.
03:47But he allows you to draft higher rankings at other positions, so I'm okay with it.
03:51I ended up Willie Adamas in that draft, but that's because I did grab Connor Griffin the round before.
03:55I saw Adamas sitting there.
03:57I'm like, you know what?
03:57I'm going to take a shot on Griffin.
03:59Took him around 14, around 15, and took Adamas next.
04:01And I have no problem starting Adamas.
04:03You know, I hope he'll be my middle infielder.
04:05Adamas has the power.
04:07Average could suffer.
04:08But we have to remember, slow start last year.
04:10Then he tore it up for like three, four months here.
04:12So I hope he figures it out more in April this year.
04:14I kind of like that strategy.
04:15And like I said, these are young shortstops, man.
04:19I don't think they'll all three will hit, right?
04:20Not right away, but I think at least one is going to be a star.
04:23Maybe this year is Nick Kurtz.
04:24Let's go.
04:24Bye.
