00:00I like some of that makeup, and I like Peyton Tolley.
00:03It's part of why I believe in him to succeed at the big league level.
00:07He came in against Paul Skeens in his debut, and it wasn't too big for him
00:10because I think he has the personality and the approach to make it work
00:15in a place like Boston.
00:16I do.
00:16I just wonder, anytime you have a pitcher like that where he's got good stuff,
00:22he's obviously pretty electric, the personality is great,
00:24but the player, do you just wait until there's an opportunity in the rotation
00:29or are you tempted to bring him up and have him like a weapon out of the bullpen,
00:33but does that kind of like stall things a little bit?
00:35I mean, you remember like even a guy like Chris Sale way back in the day,
00:38the White Sox weren't really sure how to use him.
00:41You thought one year he might even be a closer.
00:42Crochet first came up.
00:43He came up out of the bullpen.
00:44So you're like, is he a closer?
00:46Is he like a really good like setup guy?
00:51Doesn't mean if you do that he can never be a starter.
00:53I just wonder like because you have so many guys back there,
00:56like you have almost like a second full rotation of guys that probably think
01:00they should be pitching at the major league level.
01:02You got to have some of them ready because Ranger Suarez is going to miss five starts.
01:06Brian Bale is probably going to miss a couple like Sonny Gray might miss a couple.
01:10You're going to need guys to step in and you're better suited this year
01:13than you were last year.
01:14Last year it was like, all right, now it's time for Hunter Dobbins
01:17to throw a bunch of games or Richard Fitz to throw a bunch of games.
01:20You're deeper there, but I wonder if they're tempted at all.
01:23I would be like, if we have like totally Whitlock Chapman, that's pretty good.
01:28I am not ruling that out.
01:29Yeah, that's not where I want to start.
01:31I want him to really compete for the fifth starter job.
01:33Same.
01:33If he gets there, great.
01:35I hope it's an open competition.
01:36I don't really believe that.
01:37So if he goes to Worcester, I certainly want him starting there.
01:40And I want to see it through as a starter.
01:41But if you get to August and September, Keith, and I felt this way about him last year,
01:46you get to August or September and you need help in the bullpen
01:51and you feel like your rotation is good enough where you have enough depth there
01:54because they do have a lot of guys to throw at it,
01:56I'm not ruling out putting Toley in the bullpen.
