00:09Welcome to WatchMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the most badass Pokemon
00:15Champion moments.
00:2310.
00:24Lance Catches Red Gyarados Sometimes the power of friendship just can't
00:28save the day, when the rampaging Red Gyarados shows no sign of stopping.
00:33Despite its compromised condition, Ash urges it to come to its senses so that they can help
00:38it.
00:39It, of course, is having none of it, which leads Lance to step in.
00:43However, Ash pleads with him to stop, fearing it'll worsen Red Gyarados's condition.
01:02Pfft, please kid, do you think you know better than a Pokemon champion?
01:05Lance completely ignores Ash's request and delivers a swift ass-kicking with Dragonite.
01:21That's how it's done, Ketchum.
01:259.
01:27Wallace Struts His Stuff Before Steven was the champion of Hoenn, it
01:31was Wallace who reigned supreme in the anime, much like his video game counterpart in Pokemon
01:36Emerald.
01:37Ash and Dawn actually randomly come across him in the episode Our Cup Runneth Over, and
01:43he ends up giving the latter some sound advice about Pokemon contests.
01:54Of course, Team Rocket shows up like they usually do, and just when you expect some shenanigans
02:00to start with them, Wallace decides that now would be a good time to show off his skills
02:04with his Milotic.
02:06The watertight Pokemon uses a series of moves to impress everyone, before ending its performance
02:11with Twister.
02:20It was a nice change of pace to see Team Rocket be left almost speechless instead of getting
02:26blasted off again.
02:348.
02:35Geeta vs Leeko, Roy and Dot Hoping to find Entei in Area 0, Leeko,
02:41Roy and Dot go to top champion Geeta in order to get their permission to enter.
02:46Unfortunately, Geeta declines them, but soon changes her mind after seeing how disappointed
02:51they are, and challenges them to a three-on-one Pokemon battle in order to test the trio.
03:06It's a back-and-forth battle, showcasing the champion's strength, but when Geeta decides
03:11to get serious, she terrestrializes her glimora, quickly taking out Crocolore and Quackswell.
03:25Even though she ended up losing to Leeko's Floricato, you've really got to admire the
03:29badassery of Geeta for taking on three trainers at once.
03:407.
03:41Iris' Dragonite Overwhelms Ashes You have to admit, going from one of Ashes'
03:46traveling partners to the champion of the Unova region is a really impressive feat for
03:51Iris.
04:01After parting from him at the end of the Black and White series, she journeyed across the
04:05world in order to test her strength against the best dragon trainers out there.
04:09So when she battled it out against Ashes' Dragonite, it was really cool to see her counter
04:14after it with a Dragonite of her own.
04:23Despite being one of the most powerful Pokemon Ash has ever had, Iris' Dragonite was able
04:29to one-up his, forcing it to its knees after a powerful Dragonrush attack that gave Ash no
04:35choice but to return it.
04:44Return for a little rest!
04:466.
04:47Steven Aura Farms
04:49Steven Stone is a fan favorite and it's for reasons like this.
04:53During the chaos surrounding Zygarde, Ash and company were too busy suppressing Lysander,
04:58and so Team Flare were running amok.
05:01That is, until a certain Hoenn champion decided to join the fray with his trusty Mega Metagross.
05:17Steven just can't help himself and enters exuding so much aura, we're surprised Mabel didn't
05:23faint then and there.
05:24Of course, he punctuates his dramatic entry with one hell of a Meteor Mash to pretty much
05:30demolish Team Flare's base.
05:39It's no wonder she practically begged him to join Team Flare after this.
05:475.
05:48Mega vs Gigantamax
05:50Diantha was something of a dark horse in the Masters 8 tournament.
05:54Sure, she was a well-regarded champion for the Kalos region, not to mention a superstar
05:59in the acting world, but compared to the likes of Lance, we hadn't seen quite as much of
06:04what she was capable of.
06:14She certainly changed our perspective in this battle, however, which ultimately came down
06:19to Dragonite and Diantha's Gardevoir.
06:22Seeing the dainty Mega Evolved Gardevoir stand up against a colossal Gigantamax Dragonite
06:27Dragonite.
06:28It was impressive as hell.
06:36Our jaws hit the floor when she was able to claim victory over the Dragon Master.
06:474.
06:48Ash and Pikachu defeat Tapu Koko
06:50When Ash Ketchum finally became a league champion, we thought he'd take the opportunity
06:55to get some well-earned rest.
06:57We were totally wrong.
07:03His first order of business is to take on the top challenger, Professor Kukui.
07:08The battle itself is an awesome one, but things get ramped up to the next level when Tapu
07:13Koko invites itself as Kukui's final team member.
07:24We'd previously seen how powerful the Guardian deity was, so for Pikachu to be able to take
07:29it on now really was a testament to it and Ash's growth.
07:33We were truly seeing Ash make a huge leap in his dream of becoming the very best like
07:38no one ever was when the two finally took down their opponents with a climactic Z-move.
07:543.
07:55Leon's Vanilla Charizard defeats a Mega Charizard X
07:59Alain's Charizard isn't exactly the most popular Pokemon out there, especially considering
08:05it was part of one of the most controversial moments in the series.
08:08While we don't get to see Ash get his win back against it with Reninja, this is probably
08:13the next best thing.
08:20During the Masters 8 tournament, Alain battles the current world champion Leon and the finale
08:26of the fight sees both trainers pitting their Charizards against each other.
08:30Hoping to secure the win, Alain Mega revolves his into Mega Charizard X.
08:41How does Leon counter this?
08:43Through sheer skill, as he had already Gigantamaxed Rillaboom earlier on in the Pokemon battle.
08:49When Mega Charizard X's Flare Blitz doesn't get the job done, Leon's Charizard hits it with
08:54a point blank Dragon Pulse for the W.
09:09With all the wins he'd racked up, little old Paul was starting to get quite the ego.
09:14But pride does indeed cometh before the fall.
09:17His self-confidence got so out of control that he went ahead and challenged none other than
09:22fan-favorite champion Cynthia to a battle.
09:30Let's just preface this by saying that was a mistake.
09:34This is perhaps one of the most one-sided beatdowns in the anime's history.
09:39It doesn't matter who it's up against, Garchomp solos Paul's whole team.
09:49When even his Torterra gets annihilated, Paul decides to cut his losses and surrenders.
09:55Talk about major aura loss.

10:20Alder stops a Gigalith with his bare hands
10:23To say Alder made a bad first impression with Ash is putting it lightly, as he fell asleep
10:29during a Pokemon battle against him.
10:37After that embarrassing display, the Unova League champion was going to have to do something
10:42crazy to improve his reputation.
10:45And lo and behold, he did just that.
10:48When a Gigalith goes on a rampage in town, Alder decides to take matters into his own hands.
10:54Literally.
10:55Without any help from his Pokemon, he somehow manages to not only stop the Gigalith, but
11:00send it flying into the air.
11:10This gives him more than enough time to remove the nail from the Pokemon's foot.
