00:22with her two gal pals, no man in sight. Talk about girl power. Anyway, I reached out to Jess from
00:28the
00:28local animal sanctuary who got the call from a very concerned maintenance man.
00:34They received reports of some kids playing with bows and arrows who shot Marita.
00:39Stoic as she is, Jess knew Marita was in pain and wanted to remove the arrow as soon as possible.
00:44Being the brave and clever turkey that she is, Marita gave Jess and her team a run for their money.
00:50They chased her all over campus until finally they managed to corner her and get her into a carrier.
00:56And yes, her girls were very concerned.
01:00Miraculously, Marita's luck just kept coming. It turned out that the arrow missed all her vital
01:05organs and arteries, allowing for smooth, non-invasive removal. The vets put her under anesthesia and
01:12carefully extracted the arrow. A perfect job. Before long, her wounds were healed and Marita was
01:18ready to get back to her friends. And just, yeah, back her way.
01:30They're so happy.
01:31Breed and her gal pals went back to running the streets together. And to this day, the legend lives on.
