00:00It's Benzinga bringing Wall Street to Main Street.
00:02NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said on the company's fourth quarter earnings call that NVIDIA
00:06is embracing CPUs alongside GPUs as AI shifts from model training to deployment,
00:12according to Reuters. Huang said CPUs are increasingly handling agentic AI workloads
00:17and that NVIDIA's data center CPU offerings will compete with rivals.
00:21CPUs are general purpose chips built to handle a wide range of mathematical tasks
00:26at a reasonable speed. GPUs focus on a narrower set of calculations,
00:30but execute those simpler tasks in parallel thousands of times at once.
00:34At the Consumer Electronics Show in January, he said NVIDIA could become one of the largest
00:39CPU makers in the world. NVIDIA recently announced a deal with meta-platforms to supply
00:44large volumes of its grace and VeriCPUs on a standalone basis.
