00:00Special Commission, the National Assembly of Venezuela, appointed, presented a report on compliance with the amnesty law
00:06and confirmed that it has reserved at least 6,487 applications to date.
00:13The report details that three strategic subcommittees were established to monitor the law, labor issues and special cases in order
00:21to expedite the process.
00:23Within the framework of the Programme for Peace and Democratic Coexistence, its coordinator Ernesto Villegas created a detailed database of
00:31cases reflecting an institutional effort to normalize the legal situation of various social and political sectors of the country.
00:39Authorities announced an immediate joint review to issue new recommendations that deepen the scope of this legislative measure.
01:00This is a clean, transparent process.
01:05I celebrate and thank the Deputy Jorge Ariza,
01:09who keeps us informed about the accepted requests for amnesty,
01:14how the cases are being attended to, and the progress being made.
01:19This is not an easy process.
01:21There are always setbacks in this type of thing, it's logical and understandable.
01:29Institutions don't expect simultaneous requests for the same issue.
01:35Every day, and I understand from what the Deputy Ariza has told us that the President of the Supreme Court
01:41of Justice
01:43has been personally involved in resolving any confusion or issues that have arisen,
01:49and that the application of this law is becoming much more fluid, every day.
01:54I celebrate this.
01:57And I believe I speak for all members of the Peace and Democratic Coexistence Commission.
02:04When I say that we are happy that this is functioning as it should,
02:08and that the institutionality is working to achieve these goals.
