00:00We're in a situation where there are two aircraft carrier groups that have been deployed to the region.
00:05One's arrived, one's about to arrive.
00:08Do you think it's an option for President Trump to have deployed that amount of hardware and then not use
00:16it?
00:16Oh, I think it's very much an option.
00:18President Trump will not want to use force, especially as in this case,
00:22as he has reportedly been warned by the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff,
00:26that there would be U.S. casualties if there was such an attack.
00:30And so far, President Trump has been very fortunate.
00:32His overseas adventurism has not led to American casualties.
00:38So if an attack did take place and there were serious casualties,
00:43he faces a big attack from his right-wing base that don't want any foreign involvements.
00:48So he really does not want to use this force, but he wants to use it to try and intimidate
00:53Iran and get some kind of better deal.
00:56But again, it's not really clear what that deal means.
01:00What that deal would entail and how it would be carried forward.
01:03So we will have to really see what happens on Thursday.
01:07I will point out that President Trump said the other day that he had a deadline of 10 to 15
01:11days.
01:12President Trump's past behavior is that whenever he sets a deadline that is squishy, like 10 or 15 days,
01:19it always gets extended.
01:20So I think that we will see a lot more play out before there's any military action by the United
01:28States.
01:28Can you put someεις on your podcast?
01:28We will see you guys that we will see you.
01:28Bye, bye bye.
01:30Bye bye.
