00:05with vandalizing the screens of several automated teller machines
00:09at a Maybank branch in Jinjang on February 16th.

00:23The charge states that Kuen committed mischief by breaking the ATM screen
00:27until it cracked at the Maybank Jinjang Selatan branch on Jalan Kepong on February 16th.
00:35The charge was made under Section 427 of the Penal Code for Committing Mischief
00:40which carries a maximum five-year jail term, a fine, or both upon conviction.
00:47Earlier, his lawyer Cheya Siyan explained the court proceedings to his client
00:52causing the court to adjourn three times
00:55as the accused did not understand the court procedure.
00:58Cheya said his client committed the act out of frustration
01:01after failing to withdraw money from the ATM
01:04despite having thousands of ringgit in his bank account.

01:16Since no plea was recorded, the prosecution did not recommend bail.
