A video filmed inside a church in Germany started going viral, and a lot of people were shocked, thinking this kind of performance had become a trend in Protestant services in 2026.
But hold on. Before believing everything you see online, Fuxico Gospel looked into the facts.
The video is real, but the context was completely twisted. The performance took place at St. Egidien Church in Nuremberg, but it wasn’t part of a regular church service. It was actually a one-time art project called “Glaube, Liebe, Pole,” which originally happened in 2024.
There is no rule in Germany that includes pole dancing in official church liturgy. It’s simply an isolated case that the internet turned into a general trend to spark controversy and generate clicks.
