00:19Gates first met Epstein in 2011, which was after the financier's Florida conviction for
00:25procuring a child for prostitution, and continued to socialize with him, seemingly ignoring concerns
00:31raised by his then-wife, Melinda French Gates.
00:34Gates came clean to staffers at his foundation on February 24th, telling them that she, quote,
00:39was always kind of skeptical about the Epstein thing, according to the Wall Street Journal.
00:45Nonetheless he admitted he flew on a private plane with the disgraced financier and spent
00:49time with him in the U.S. and abroad, such as in New York, Germany, France, and Washington,
00:54Washington, but maintains he never visited his island or participated in any crimes.

01:09Bill also came clean about alleged affairs during his time with French Gates, who filed
01:13for divorce in 2021, ending their 27-year marriage.

01:37Epstein had previously threatened Gates over the affair with Antonova, which was previously
01:41reported by the Wall Street Journal.
01:44In one set of potentially nefarious emails that were revealed from the Epstein file drop, and
01:48later went mega-viral on social media, in which he seemed to be writing as Boris Nikolic, one
01:54of Gates' chief advisors, who has claimed the emails were not written on his behalf or at
01:59his request.
02:00The email tried to suggest that Bill had asked Nikolic to provide him with drugs to treat
02:05STDs, a consequence of his quote, sex with Russian girls, as well as antibiotics to secretly give
02:11his wife Melinda as a cover-up.
02:14A Gates spokesperson rejected the disturbing claims as completely false, and that it was
02:19proof the now-deceased pedophile was out to entrap and defame his celebrity friends.
02:24Melinda Gates has cited Bill's meetings with Epstein as a major reason for the rupture of
02:28their marriage, saying the relationship deeply troubled her.
02:32That same year of his divorce in 2021, reports emerged that the Microsoft co-founder had resigned
02:37from the company's board due to an investigation into an alleged romantic relationship with
02:42a female employee that was deemed inappropriate, according to the Wall Street Journal.
02:47According to anonymous sources cited by the outlet, the investigation began in 2019 after
02:52a Microsoft engineer alleged she had a sexual relationship with Gates over the years.
02:57An unnamed spokeswoman for Gates had acknowledged an affair from the early 2000s, which ended
03:02amicably, but said Gates' decision to transition off the board was in no way related.
03:08The New York Times had also reported that Gates had developed a reputation for questionable
03:12conduct in work-related settings.
03:14The outlet reported that, according to sources with direct knowledge, on multiple occasions,
03:19Gates had made advances on female workers of Microsoft and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
03:25Gates had claimed that his relationship with Epstein was one he regretted every minute of, and
03:29after such a massive public fallout, it's easy to see why.
