00:18With interesting people there's a mystery to be solved
00:22An adventure is unfolding
00:24So why not get involved?
00:28Come on and read all about it
01:17How about move downwards?
01:28No Otto, I'm trying to think of a problem to put in the newspaper
01:31Like the one I had to solve in Deneen's problem pit
01:35Move downwards is a clue
01:36And our readers will have to think of different words
01:39That have the same meaning
01:47Five, so far I thought of drop and slip
01:51Do you know any others?
02:00Well
02:11Otto, I was waiting for you to give me the words
02:14Otto, I was waiting for you to give me the words
02:23You're a big help
02:26Sam, do you want to help?
02:27Wait, not now
02:29I have to finish this story about Deneen
02:31Before Chris gets back from the library
02:33I wonder if he found out who the queen was
02:39I suppose you won't help me either?
02:41I suggest you examine the thesaurus
02:47I knew this newspaper would be a lot of work
02:58I'll look up
03:00Drop
03:09Here it is
03:10Drop
03:12Look at all these words which have the same meaning as drop
03:14This gives me more than I need
03:20I found the book
03:22I know who she is
03:23She's
03:24Where is she?
03:26Where is she going?
03:27Who?
03:28Who?
03:29The queen
03:29She was right here on the desk
03:31I don't see any queen
03:32Do you, Sam?
03:34No
03:34Maybe she's very, very small
03:36But she is small
03:38She's only this high
03:39I suppose you expect us to believe
03:41She's the queen of hearts
03:43From Alice's adventures in Wonderland
03:45Yes, that's her
03:47Oh, you guess
03:49And then the transporters started to work again
03:51Then she disappeared
03:53How did you ever figure out who she was?
03:56Oh, it wasn't so difficult
03:58Well, I hope she got back to her book safely
04:23Maybe I could write a story about the queen of hearts
04:26Trying to discover her identity was like being in a detective story
04:30Hey, yeah
04:31You could call it
04:32The Case of the Misplaced Queen by Chris Anderson
04:35There, I'm finished
04:37Here's our story about Dunedin
04:42Meeting Dunedin in the Galaxy Trialveron
04:45And the Adventures in the Problem Pit
04:47By Samantha Nickus
04:51Sounds like a whole paragraph, Sam
04:53Not a headline
04:54How about Adventures in the Problem Pit
04:56By Sam Nickus
05:05But we should have the name Dunedin in the headline
05:08After all, that's why we're putting the story in the paper
05:11I agree
05:12How about Dunedin's Galaxy?
05:21That tells us who the story's about and where it takes place
05:25Or the Dunedin Adventure
05:29Sounds more dramatic
05:31And looks more dramatic, too
05:34I like it
05:35Great
05:36You know, I think we'll be ready to print our first edition by tomorrow
05:40The first edition will include
05:45And the editorial telling people who we are
05:51And our motto
05:55And you're gonna write a Queen of Hearts story
06:01Yes, but that's not enough
06:03We need more items
06:13Lin's what?
06:15I thought it might be fun to put in some problems for our readers to solve
06:19And we could give the answers in the next edition
06:23Sounds good
06:24We'll need a couple problems
06:26Maybe a riddle or two
06:28Excellent idea
06:30May I suggest this one?
06:34Invented in Canada
06:35It rolls along with a push
06:38Makes old faces look new
06:43Great, Theta
06:44What's the answer?
06:45Small malfunction in answer circuitry
06:48Prevents immediate response
06:49Time will be required to transfer data to another circuit
06:55Take all the time you want, Theta
06:57We don't need the answer to our second edition
07:00Hey, it's getting late
07:02We better get home
07:03Yeah
07:12See you tomorrow, Otto
07:19Good night, Theta
07:21Good night
07:22Good night, Otto
07:27Arrivederci
07:29What's that?
07:31It's an Italian word
07:33It means goodbye
07:34Oh
07:36Wait a minute, wait a minute
07:37I forgot something
07:45I'm going to read it
07:46I thought you said you didn't like reading
07:48I don't
07:49Why are you talking about me?
07:54I'm going to read it, Chris
07:55Hi, Chris
07:56Hi, Chris
08:05Events seem to be progressing well
08:19Arrivederci
08:21Good night
08:23Good night
09:17A lawnmower?
09:18Yes, it rolls along with the bush.
09:20That's what the red owl says.
09:21It also says makes old faces look new.
09:24It doesn't say anything about lawns.
09:26I think it's an electric toothbrush.
09:28You hold an electric toothbrush.
09:31You don't push it.
09:32Lynn, Sam, wait up.
09:34Hi, Chris.
09:35Have I figured out the riddle yet?
09:37No, but I found something else to put on our paper.
09:39A book?
09:41Early Country Travels by Anita Junes.
09:44Look on page 34, at the bottom.
09:54Village?
09:55This book was written over 70 years ago.
09:58Herbertville was still a village then.
10:17Hey, that looks just like our coach house.
10:19That's what I thought, too.
10:21But what does this have to do with our paper?
10:23Well, some people like history, especially about where they live.
10:28So I thought, in each edition of the paper, we can put in a little item about the life in
10:33Herbertville when it was a village, starting with our coach house.
10:37I think that's a great idea.
10:39And I thought you locked the door yesterday.
10:42I did.
10:49Oh, no.
10:50Look at that.
10:55Otto, get up.
10:57Are you all right?
11:03Why would anybody do this?
11:06We were unable to identify the intruder.
11:13Is anything missing?
11:15Looks like everything's okay.
11:19Here's your editorial.
11:22And, uh, uh...
11:24Wait a minute.
11:25My story about Dineen.
11:26It's gone.
11:27It's been stolen.
11:28Do you think someone is trying to stop us from putting Dineen's name in the paper?
11:33But that doesn't make sense.
11:34Sam can always rewrite the story.
11:36And why would anybody make such a mess?
11:39I suspect the motive is to prevent publication of the paper.
11:46But no one knows we're printing the paper yet.
11:50Except Mr. O'Regan.
11:52Maybe we're being watched.
11:55What'll we do?
11:57Finish our first edition as soon as possible.
12:00And then we'll see what happens.
12:02Okay.
12:03I'll rewrite the Dineen adventure while I still remember it.
12:06Good.
12:06By the time Lynn and I have put things back in place,
12:09it'll be ready for the duplicating machine.
12:11It won't take us long to run the paper off.
12:13And tomorrow we can distribute it around town.
12:23You could type my Queen of Hearts story.
12:26There is a problem.
12:28In changing circuits,
12:29I have accidentally erased the answer to the following riddle.
12:41Oh, Theta.
12:43Where can we find a book about Canadian inventions?
12:46We haven't any time.
12:48We'll print the riddle and find out the answer tomorrow.
12:50Now let's get started.
