00:11town centre redevelopment. Stockton Council says the new Waterfront Urban Park is nearing
00:17completion, allowing the event to restart. Financial plans confirm the fireworks will
00:23resume in 2026 as part of the Authorities Powering Our Futures programme, which includes
00:29wider service reviews. Nigel Cook says the organised display will provide a safe way for
00:35residents to celebrate and help deter unauthorised bonfires and fireworks across the borough.
00:40The event is expected to draw thousands later this year.
