The Solihull area has been selected for long-term investment under a national scheme. A community-led board will decide how the money is spent over the next decade.

00:09The area has been chosen as part of the Pride in Place initiative, which will distribute funding to communities across
00:16the country.
00:17Solihull Council has agreed to act as the local accountable body and will appoint an independent chair to lead a
00:24neighbourhood board.
00:25That board, made up of people who live or work locally, will decide how the money is spent.
00:31Possible projects include improvements to public spaces, lighting, seating and community facilities.
00:39Councillors say the process is at an early stage, with detailed plans still to be developed.
