Tyrique Stevenson talks about trying to cover Keenan Allen and also addresses the narrative that the former Chargers receiver is either out of shape, too old or heavy.

00:11I would say Rome is just more of a, he gonna give you what he give you and he gonna
00:16get
00:17into his route.
00:18And then with Keenan, you just gotta watch for everything.
00:21Just the quick stops, the in and out of his breaks, for him to be in the game so long
00:25and still be able to create the small separation that he needs in the route is just the difference
00:29between them right now.
00:31I don't like it, but every day pretty much just, I just wanna come out there and get better.
00:36And I know Keenan is gonna bring that to the table every day.
00:39So if I see it in practice, once we get in the game, it ain't happening, just make me
00:43an all pro corner.
00:44But I've been getting worked on every day in camp with Keenan and DJ and everybody who's
00:49bringing their attributes to the table.
00:51I feel like if you play him too close, he's good enough to make that incredible catch.
00:56So you have to give him space to see which way he going.
00:59If you sell on the route too hard, he can take it back the other way.
01:02And if you play him low, he's definitely taking it over the top.
01:05So it's just figuring out how to take him out his groove and all that.
01:10So I just feel like his inability, I mean his ability to create separation when he needed
01:15to.
01:15So that's pretty much make him hard to cough.
01:17Even with DJ last year, it was hard, but I felt like I was coming along with Keenan.
01:22And I was figuring out a whole new plan to stop somebody new.
01:25Nah, it's none of my business.
01:27You know, y'all be here every day with us, you don't see it.
01:31People have their opinions.
01:33He's still Keenan Allen and he's still gonna show y'all who he is really.
01:35So that had nothing to do with me pretty much.
