00:12Francesca, first of all, can you tell us your journey in singing?
00:15And you earlier said that you have performed back then,
00:19I mean back in Chicago, in the U.S.
00:21Can you tell us more about that?
00:22So, I...

00:25I'm from Chicago, Illinois.
00:27I was born and raised there.
00:30My parents are from Manila,
00:32so I'm here visiting for the first time in the Philippines.
00:36It's my first time.
00:37I'm really enjoying it here.
00:39So, I started playing when I was six years old.
00:43I play guitar and I sang and I took lessons,
00:46different genres from rock, R&B, pop.
00:50And I ended up going to Berklee College of Music in Boston
00:53and I studied the jazz vocals and guitar over there
00:56and like composing and producing.
00:58So, I write my own songs too.
01:01And after college, I moved to L.A. for a bit
01:03and I landed a role in a movie called Mean Girls, the musical.
01:08And I was one of the band freaks there.
01:10And then that gig led into the Broadway scene.
01:14So, I moved to New York,
01:15started subbing on Broadway shows,
01:17like Six and Book of Mormon and things like that.
01:20Interesting.
01:21And then landed...
01:23You mentioned jazz.
01:25Now, normally it's more in trumpet and saxophone.
01:30So, why electric guitar?
01:32Why not other instruments?
01:34More of a fusion.
01:35So, I like to incorporate jazz and R&B together.
01:38So, electric guitar.
01:39But I did study, you know, with the traditional jazz guitar as well.
01:42And we heard you'll be performing right now
01:45your original song from your album.
01:48Can you tell us more about that?
01:49Yeah, so, the song that I'm going to be playing today is called Flow.
01:52And I wrote it as, like, a reminder to, you know,
01:58take every day, day by day,
02:01and just, you know, go with the flow.

02:07And how long did it take it to compose a song?
02:11Composing it?
02:12Maybe just, like, an hour or so.
02:14And then producing it took a little while.
