00:14Wraithops is all about returning to the very roots of first-person shooters without any additional
00:20fluff. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel but go back to what made the OG games fun. A focus
00:26on
00:26gunplay, maps and community and you can see this in every facet of the game. Simplicity is everywhere.
00:33You can play the Wraithops demo right now in Steam Next Fest and today we're going to talk about some
00:38of the changes to one of the maps you'll be fighting on. Airfield has come a long way since
00:44some of you first played it during our public playtest last August and since then we've been
00:49iterating heavily. So why the changes? The original Airfield had a number of layout issues that
00:54affected pacing and balance. Some objectives were placed too close to spawn points which
01:00skewed fights and heavily favoured defending teams. Other areas like the hangar and nearby rooftops
01:07created dominant positions that encouraged spawn camping which limited meaningful counterplay.
01:12The new Airfield is a complete rework. Objectives have been reorganised, spaces restructured and new
01:19combat lines introduced. The map is now more clearly divided into distinct areas, giving players more
01:25ways to move, flank and approach engagements. These changes are designed to improve flow and create more
01:32consistent, readable fights across the map. Jump into the Wraithops demo right now, test Airfield for yourself
01:39alongside two other maps. Wraithops started as a passion project and that hasn't changed.
