I was right there in the desert battlefield, moving forward with my team. In an instant, a huge explosion erupted right in front of me. Flames and smoke burst into the sky, and everything around me turned chaotic. I could hear my teammate Martinez yelling, “Jesus!” in shock. I was right in the middle of this terrifying battle scene, feeling the heat and danger of the explosion with my own eyes.
