00:00Yes, that's right. Nick Kurtz. George has got to get him on his teams this season. Wow,
00:05what a breakout he had. Arguably the biggest breakout star of last season on the A's. The
00:12Sacramento A's, that is. Look at all those home runs and runs driven in. And I don't even think,
00:16did he play 140 games last year? This guy was incredible in the time that he played for the
00:21A's. We got Vladimir Guerrero Jr. He's second. I feel like Vlad keeps getting drafted based on
00:28numbers that don't exist. It's really weird, George. Take a look at his numbers the last
00:31few years. Is his name drafted? Is that why? Pete Alonzo in Baltimore, Bryce Harper, Matt Olsen. I
00:38mean, this is not great for first base when you really look at this. You kind of expect
00:42like six, seven huge players here, but I could probably poke holes at all of them, on all of
00:48them. Olsen, Devers, and then Freddie Freeman. You know, Devers, of course, plays in San Francisco.
00:54I'm not negative on this, but I do kind of feel like for me at this position, Kurtz is
01:00someone I'll take a chance on again. I feel like this guy's got a great chance to do it
01:04again, to be a superstar. But beyond that, I could find fault a little bit. Would I wait,
01:09George? Maybe a little bit after? Or maybe would I just take Freddie Freeman and be happy?
01:14But would you be happy? Freeman gets dinged up a lot now, too. He always seems to be,
01:19you know, has a nagging injury here, nagging injury there. You know they don't need to push
01:24him, right? They're going to win their 98, 100 games anyway, with or without Freeman. Team USA
01:29has just scored, by the way, for those paying attention. So they lead 1-0 over Slovakia.
01:34I might be slightly interested in that game. But as for first base, like I said, I think
01:38you put it perfectly, Craig. You can, there's a knock on every one of these guys. You put up
01:42last week about Vladimir Guerrero, and it's so true. He's, I mean, he's number one first
01:48base, man. Oh, he's no worse than a top second round pick, yet his numbers don't
01:51never justify it. Which is amazing, by the way, because he plays in a band box.
01:55They moved the fences in there two years ago, and he's still not hitting 30, 40
01:58old ones, which is really what he should. Now, he had a fantastic postseason. So
02:03maybe that'll translate over to the regular season. Maybe it won't. But I'm not
02:06spending a first round pick on him. I'm not. You said it perfectly. I would take
02:09Nick Kurtz as well. Although a knock on him could be almost the same thing, by the way.
02:13Can he make those adjustments? Because they will adjust. He's going to face left-hander
02:17after left-hander after left-hander, right? So they're going to throw at him now
02:20because of how good he is. You know, listen, we hit the ball. That's another joke
02:24of a ballpark. That's why I like Nick Kurtz a lot. I had him on one team last year,
02:28and I won that league. It was my home league. And I had the 12th pick I won. So I
02:33had the
02:33last pick in the draft, last pick in the first round. If he's there, I'm taking him.
