00:42So we were all caught flat-footed.
00:46I felt myself drawing into yourself and away from everyone.
00:51And so I lost a lot of the confidence in the one thing that I knew how to do.

00:59Then you get like heart fluctuations.
01:01And I thought, okay, it's just that I'm having a panic attack.
01:04So then that messes with your mental psyche.
01:09Light sweats, insomnia.
01:11Weight gain.
01:12Urinary tract infections, urinary incontinence.
01:14Joint aches.
01:16Depression, anxiety.
01:17Dry skin.
01:18Vaginal dryness.
01:19Painful sex.
01:20Brain fog.
01:21Loss of libido.
01:22Hot clashes are the tip of the iceberg.
01:29You can't lump menopause into one basket for all races, ethnicities.
01:36When we say that black women experience menopause differently than their white counterparts,
01:41it's not because there's something physiologically different from us.
01:44There is something different culturally.
01:48It's a profound hormone shift, but we've done this before.
01:52We do this every month with periods.
01:54We do this with pregnancy.
01:55We do this with puberty.
01:57I guarantee you there's a Nobel Prize for the person that can figure this out.
