00:00I had people who inspired me.
00:02There was an ice dancer who came out before me
00:04and was an absolute inspiration.
00:08And I've been able to get to know more queer women in the sports
00:13and just all-around space of the queer community
00:17that have really made it feel like I'm accepted
00:21and comfortable in this world.
00:25It's been a weight off my shoulders.
00:27And I know regardless of whatever results of whatever I do on the ice
00:33that I'm able to speak about my journey and my process truthfully
00:39and inspire others to do the same
00:41and not feel as alone in who they are.
00:44And that's one of the things that has kept me in this sport for so many years
00:50is the stories that I'm told by fans, by other skaters,
00:54that something I did or said might have helped them
00:57and feel more comfortable in themselves or their environments.
01:00And it really has been freeing for me.
