Network Rail will close the line between Middlesbrough and Whitby for five days to replace a level crossing. Replacement buses and pedestrian shuttles will run, with road diversions in place.

00:14calling at all stations. Mott & Moor Road will be closed overnight from Sunday evening to
00:20Saturday morning, with diversion routes for cars and a shuttle bus for pedestrians.
00:25Network Rail is installing a sliding barrier and new operating system and the road layout will be
00:31fully resurfaced. Project Manager Amelia Fordyce says the work is needed because of the age and
00:37condition of the crossing equipment. Passengers are advised to travel light and allow extra time.
