00:00Nintendo did something that I totally didn't expect.
00:03I recently went hands-on with a bunch of Nintendo Switch 2 games that are coming out soon,
00:07and they really surprised me. Starting off with Mario Tennis Fever,
00:10this game comes out February 12th, which is great because I am really looking forward to revisiting
00:15it. It was an easy game to pick up and learn as someone who isn't too into Mario Tennis,
00:19yet there are many mechanics here that will make seasoned players want to dive in and master.
00:23There are different rackets you can use as special abilities, and I found the Bullet Bill
00:26Racket to be my favorite. Also, it was great to see a native Switch 2 Mario Tennis game,
00:31those graphics really stood out. Then I checked out Super Mario Wonder Switch 2 Edition plus
00:36Meetup and Bella Bella Park. This was the game I was the most skeptical about because I loved my time
00:40playing the original and wasn't sure if the $20 upgrade would be justified with the content.
00:44But boy, do I love being proven wrong with Nintendo because this felt like if Mario Wonder had Mario
00:49Party minigames, and that couldn't be better news. There were so many different minigames with various
00:54difficulty options, and being able to play co-op on multiple systems locally but also with online
00:59functionality will make this a perfect Friday night game to play with my friends. And as if that wasn't
01:04good enough already, you get to play as Rosalina, the graphics got improved, and they announced Amiibo
01:09including one for the GOAT aka Captain Toad. There's also the Talking Flower toy coming out in March,
01:15but that feels like it deserved its own video. What do you guys think? Spoiler alert, it's a chatty toy.
01:20I also briefly got to check out Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem from Capcom. They both ran
01:26really well on the Switch 2 hardware, both handheld and docked. And with Resident Evil,
01:30now you can get scared both on the go and at home. Lastly was the Virtual Boy. I had never
01:35used
01:36the original that released in 1995, so using a similar replica was a really cool experience.
01:40You place the Switch 2 inside the front and get to play Virtual Boy games via Nintendo Switch Online.
01:45It's $100, but there is a cardboard version for $25 if you're looking for some Nintendo VR on a budget.
01:51So, which of these titles would you guys say you're looking forward to the most from Nintendo so far?
01:55And be sure to follow Tom's Guide so you can hear my thoughts later about another big game coming to
02:00Switch 2 this year.
