00:00A few months after Trump's 20-point ceasefire deal, the war might be over, but Gaza is far
00:06from safe.
00:07According to the United Nations, two million people are still displaced in Gaza, often
00:12living in overcrowded camps and makeshift shelters, with little access to food or running
00:17water.
00:18In Kan Yunis, families try to celebrate Ramadan with a little food they can get their hands
00:23on.
00:25Every day is worse than the one before, for three years we have not felt the spirit
00:30of Ramadan.
00:31We tried to make our children happy and to celebrate Ramadan as a family, but it's hard.
00:37Many of our loved ones are gone.
00:39It's such a huge loss, I've lost half my family.
00:44Although the ceasefire deal required Hamas to give up any role in the governance of Gaza,
00:49its gunmen are still manning checkpoints, detaining and questioning people and have
00:54not yet given up their weapons.
00:56And although Israeli military activity was supposed to have stopped, the IDF have not
01:02left the Gaza Strip and their strikes and artillery shelling have continued to kill Palestinians
01:07for the complicating reconstruction efforts across Gaza.
01:11Violations have continued.
01:12Even in Gaza, where there is a ceasefire now, over 600 people have been killed since October
01:202025, when the ceasefire came into force.
01:24We still struggle to take humanitarian aid into Gaza in the quantity that is needed.
01:33The path ahead looks fraught with obstacles.
01:36An estimated 60 million tonnes of war debris are yet to be cleared, and the UN has estimated
01:41the rebuilding cost to be over 50 billion US dollars.
