00:51about this application most people had no idea that this was proposed let alone the five best
00:57sites that you've already approved whilst we all understand the need for energy balancing
01:02all agreed that five was a large contribution from a small rural community and no one wanted you
01:08creating a continuous industrial corridor in this location indicated by the many objections
01:14submitted we concur with your landscape architect this need to be looked at in conjunction with
01:21the surrounding sites the noise model whilst admitting there will be some disturbance does not
01:27take into consideration that it will be right next to approved best sites to the west you will also
01:34have the continuous hum from the substation and the noise from the terra nova crane site the cumulative
01:40effect will be unacceptable to residents and local businesses the proposed roof height acoustic fence
01:46will be highly visible unsightly out of character and as close as 21 meters to gardens despite all
01:54precautions the possibility of fire exists mechanical failure or a computer glitch could result in this
02:01and if water suppression suppression systems are inadequate or fail you will be looking at a major incident
02:08access to this site is totally unsatisfactory it is not two directional there is a single access point
02:15off a narrow byway and through a substantial gate after crossing an entrance area it's followed by two parallel
02:22lines both going into the prevailing wind historically the southern lane has been used for parking trailers
02:29etc and could well be blocked out of hours the main gate will be locked plus the gates in out
02:35of terra nova
02:36and the southern lane any delay could result in spread to further batteries and even to the adjacent best
02:41sites if the planned water containment is insufficient or is breached or leaks lithium will get into the
02:48water table and eventually reach the aquifers that supply water to our community i have never seen so
02:55many conditions apply to an application that you want to pass today surely all should be sorted out before
03:02giving permission because if any of these are fudged or ignored which has frequently happened in this
03:09locality it will be very difficult to turn back the clock there is absolutely no way that the applicant
03:15can honestly guarantee unfettered access to the best your own staff tell us that they don't have the
03:23manpower to police conditions and rely on the public reporting infringement there are far too many
03:30question marks over this application please listen to your electorate they don't want this and they're
03:36relying on your common sense to stop this right now thank you thank you um do any members have any
