00:02There are big changes coming to Air Force One, and they're all about color.
00:07CBS News was first to report the classic Kennedy-era Robin's Egg blue paint scheme
00:12is being replaced with a new design in President Trump's preferred palette,
00:17deep navy, deep red, and gold.
00:20The iconic blue and white exterior has defined the presidential fleet for more than six decades,
00:25but officials tell CBS that as aircraft rotate in for maintenance,
00:30they're now being repainted in the new design.
00:32You might remember during his first term, President Trump unveiled a model of Air Force One
00:37with this exact look.
00:39That design was later scrapped under President Biden.
00:42Now it's back, sitting as you can see right here in the Oval Office.
00:45The new paint will appear on the 747-8 jet donated by Qatar,
00:51which the Air Force is refurbishing for presidential use,
00:54as well as the two Boeing 747-8s currently being converted
00:58into the next generation of Air Force One under a 2018 contract.
01:03This Qatari jet could be ready as early as this summer.
