00:00I see things like what has happened in Australia and what has happened in France, where you have a regulatory
00:07body saying, we're going to wait until these kids are at least a little bit older, 15, 16 years old,
00:15in order to at least process a little more what they're doing in the social media space before they get
00:21online.
00:22And I personally would be so in favor of that.
00:25Have you talked to your father-in-law about that?
00:27I actually have.
00:29And when I talked to him about the studies that I've read and the way that, you know, a kid
00:37looks at a screen and their dopamine and their oxytocin and all these feel-good chemicals are firing, and then
00:44you take the screen away and those all go away.
00:47Well, how are they ever going to get back to that in just regular life without a screen?
00:50They almost don't.
00:52And it's actually frightening to consider the implications of this 10, 20, 30 years from now for these kids.
00:58I'm terrified we're going to have an entire society that's totally depressed because they can't get back to that level.
01:04And he's very interested in it.
01:06I don't know exactly where he stands.
01:09I've certainly told him where I stand on it.
01:12And I think it's something that he's taking an interest in because, look, we can do all we want to
01:18make our nutrition guidelines better, to make the food supply in public schools better, and for our military better, to
01:25make America healthy again.
01:26But one of the things that is going to always kind of be over us will be social media, will
01:32be screens, will be that sort of thing.
01:34And so I do think it's something that he's looking into and at least educating himself on to make a
01:41decision.
