00:00So as you worked through Estee Lauder for some 20 plus years, you were building the brand,
00:06building the brand, and now when you left Estee Lauder, you decided to start a new company, right?
00:11Right. I left Estee Lauder. Did I quit or get fired? To me, I got fired.
00:19Why would they fire you?
00:20Because there was a lot of angst in the year or so before I left, and it's all in my
00:26biography,
00:27or in my memoir, so it's all out there. It was tough. I mean, Leonard wasn't as involved in the
00:35company, and there was a new CEO, and a lot of new things were happening, and it was not a
00:43good time
00:43at all. And so it was honestly really tough, and it's the best thing that ever happened to me getting
00:50fired, if you want to know the truth. What was it like starting all over again?
00:54You know, it was really exciting and invigorating. I felt like a young kid again when I started
00:59Jones Road, and right before we launched, I definitely had a sudden, like, you know,
01:05like, emotion of saying, uh-oh, what if I'm a one-hit wonder? I was a little scared,
01:10but then I just threw it up into the wind and went for it.
01:14You know, like, you know, I was like, you know, like, you know, like, you know, like, you know,
01:14you get bigger stuff. I didn't know your spirit. I remember and you know, like, you know,
