Sleeper shark filmed for first time in Antarctica’s near-freezing deep waters
A sleeper shark measuring up to four meters was filmed at a depth of nearly 500 meters in the Antarctic Ocean, marking the first recorded sighting of a shark so far south. Researchers say the species may have long gone undetected in the region’s cold, remote waters.
