SHARK NEARLY EATS A PELICAN FLOATING ON WATER
WITH VID
By Saloni Mathur
Watch this exciting drone footage of a pelican nearly being eaten by a great white shark.
Captured by Elijah Franklin, a Digital filmmaker from Carlsbad, California, was flying his drone near the Southern California coast in hopes of capturing sharks when he spotted something odd.
He saw a pelican fly over to where one shark was swimming and land right next to it above water.
The shark swims right under the pelican, almost bumping it with its dorsal fin.
Even with the danger of being eaten by the shark, the pelican doesn’t move and continues to float unbothered while the shark slowly swims away.
Elijah said: “Out of all the sharks I’ve filmed in San Diego, this one was one of the largest I’ve ever seen.
“And it was amazing to see it interact with other life, because usually the larger sharks are just there passing by, and there is not a lot of action to be captured.
“So this was very exciting.”
