In wenigen Wochen beginnt der zweite Teil der Weltenseelen-Saga in World of Warcraft. Das neue Addon Midnight stellt in einem neuen Trailer vor, was sich in der Spielwelt ändert. Es gibt nämlich nicht nur neue Gebiete, sondern auch Überarbeitungen an den alten Zonen.

In einem neunminütigen Rundgang besucht ihr die alten und neuen Zonen, die für Midnight von Bedeutung sind. Dazu gehören:

- Die Überarbeitung des Immersangwaldes und von Silbermond, also der Heimat der Blutelfen
- Die Überarbeitung und neuen Orte in Zul’Aman, dem Gebiet der Amani-Trolle
- Das neue Gebiet Harandar , wo ihr das neue verbündete Volk namens Haranir findet
- Der neue Leerensturm , der jetzt den Stützpunkt von Xal'atath beheimatet
- Die neue Insel von Quel’Danas , der Ort, an dem sich der Sonnenbrunnen befindet

00:00Hey team, I'm Fiyama and I'm here to talk about the open world of Midnight.
00:03The new expansion raises the level cap of our characters to 90
00:06and the journey to get there will take us through a handful of zones and stories.
00:10With the freedom to choose the order of our adventures,
00:13it can be helpful to know what's in store along the way.
00:15So we'll dive into how exactly that works,
00:18each of the chapters of our leveling campaign,
00:20and what magic you can find if you care to look.
00:23Don't worry, there are no spoilers here,
00:25so it's safe to watch if you want to experience the stories for yourself firsthand.
00:30When Midnight launches, all of us will be called to defend the Sunwell.
00:33Zalatath the Harbinger has launched an all-out attack with her Void Army,
00:37and we will fight for our lives in the introductory scenario,
00:41introducing us to a few major characters with big roles in the story ahead.
00:45After the battle, we meet in Silvermoon City in all its revitalized glory to plan our next moves.

00:55All players will then quest through the gorgeous, revisited Eversong Woods,
00:59accompanying Arator as we learn about recent challenges the zone is facing,
01:03thanks to a handful of familiar faces.
01:05From here, we have a choice.
01:07We can follow Orwena back to her home of Harranda to meet the Haranir and learn about their culture.
01:11We can visit Zul'Aman and discover more about the Armani trolls.
01:15Or we can travel the Eastern Kingdoms with Arator as he learns what Light vs. Void really means.
01:21All three of these chapters will need to be completed during your leveling journey,
01:24but the order in which you complete them is entirely up to you.
01:28Once all three are done, we can travel to the Voidstorm,
01:31a zone full of hunger and violence, where everything is a threat and nowhere is safe.
01:36This is where we'll reach the level cap, rejoin our allies, and take the fight to Zalatath.
01:41But before we can get that far, our journey begins in Eversong Woods.
01:46The dead scar has been healed, Silvermoon City has been rebuilt,
01:50and the revamped Eversong Woods now also includes what used to be the Ghostland Zone.
01:55The whole area has been expanded and reimagined, with a graphical update too.
02:00This is where we'll all start our leveling campaign, with little tastes of the stories to come.
02:05Join Orwena to learn how an infusion of light has helped Eversong Woods regrow.
02:09Sometimes, though, there can be too much of a good thing.
02:13She's surprised to find creatures native to her home, up here on the surface,
02:17and they're behaving very strangely.
02:19Meet the Armani trolls, stepping outside their territory.
02:23The light-infused trees here provide the perfect materials for weaponry.
02:27There's still bad blood between them and the elves,
02:29but the enemy of my enemy is my friend, and we definitely want this enemy gone.
02:34Follow Arator across the zone as he learns of a variety of issues caused by the looming storm overhead.
02:41Meeting with Magister Umbric in Tranquillian,
02:43something's not quite right with the locals, and he needs our help investigating.
02:48Arator's dealing with some internal conflict too,
02:51to be expected when the battle of Void vs. Light is embodied by Mum vs. Dad.
02:56Each of these threads continue on into one of the three choices we have to quest through next.
03:01We'll need to explore all three eventually, so follow your heart.
03:04While you're travelling through Eversong Woods, it's worth taking a moment to have a look around.
03:09There are so many gorgeous little things to see.
03:12Something not so little, cutting through the entire zone, is what used to be the dead scar.
03:17If you look carefully, you can just see the remnants on your world map,
03:22and I'd recommend taking a self-guided tour along it.
03:24It's so lush and beautiful, alive with many different creatures,
03:29and at the very top, just as you leave Silvermoon and cross the bridge,
03:33is a resplendent statue along with a painter attempting to capture its beauty on canvas.
03:38At the opposite end, be careful as you approach the shadowy area of the map.
03:42There are some strong enemies here, but veer off the healed scar and follow the road south
03:47to find Thalassian Pass, a shining memorial to the sacrifices of the past.
03:52The memorial plaque here is worth a read.
03:55After the discoveries she made in Eversong Woods,
03:58Orwena invites us to follow her home to Harrandar,
04:01an ancient place hidden among the roots of the world trees.
04:05Here we meet the Haranir,
04:06beings who tend to these roots and live in seclusion,
04:10choosing not to interfere with events in our world.
04:12As we quest through Harrandar, we'll learn not only about the Haranir and their traditions,
04:17but about the history of our very world and its special connection to this zone and its people.
04:23Through learning their rituals and facing their trials,
04:26we have a chance to earn the trust of the Haranir and invite them to join our fight,
04:30unlocking them as an allied race at the end of this chapter of the campaign.
04:33The whole zone is grown rather than built.
04:37All the buildings have been lovingly crafted and are a living testament to the Haranir's connection to nature.
04:42Look up, see the tree roots curling and weaving through the sky,
04:46and take a look in the northwest of the zone, where Teldrassil's roots can still be found.
04:51The little details here are a reflection of the destruction we saw above ground.
04:56I'd highly recommend getting a view of the zone from above, too.
04:59Maybe even try to fly into the big glowing area in the sky in the middle of the zone,
05:04with the roots curling around it?
05:05Wonder what you might find there.
05:08Things have always been tense between the Armani trolls in their home of Zul'Aman
05:12and the blood elves of neighbouring Eversong Woods.
05:15Though there has been an uneasy peace of late,
05:18the invasion of Twilight's Blade, Zalatath-worshipping cultists,
05:22has threatened to send everything into chaos for the Armani and their leader, Zul'Jara.
05:27The granddaughter of Zul'Jinn, she is seeking to protect her people alongside her brother and advisor, Zul'Jahn.
05:33For this chapter of the levelling campaign, we'll be exploring the expanded zone of Zul'Aman,
05:38learning more about the history of the Armani trolls,
05:41and journeying with Zul'Jara in order to fight back against the Void invasion.
05:45Those familiar with Zul'Aman the dungeon will recognise the entrance to the zone,
05:49but the way it's been expanded and developed is breathtaking.
05:53The architecture is impressive, even when it appears neglected as the temples have been.
05:58Take the time to visit each corner of the zone, with temples for Akilz on the Eagle,
06:02Halazi the Lynx,
06:04Janalai the Dragonhawk,
06:06and Nalarak the Bear.
06:07Each has a tablet for you to read if you'd like to learn more.
06:10The eastern half of the map appears to be missing, though,
06:13and trying to visit has you choked by fog.
06:16What could it mean?
06:17The light users reinforcing the Sunwell can't keep it up forever,
06:21so Alonsus Fal has tasked us with finding relics of the light to help strengthen their resolve,
06:26and we're taking Arator along for the ride.
06:29Travelling across the eastern kingdoms, our journey will lead us to learn more of the light,
06:34and how it works.
06:35Visit familiar locations and meet with old friends,
06:38all while helping Arator understand where he comes from,
06:41exploring his father's legacy,
06:43and where he wishes to end up,
06:44what kind of paladin he hopes to be.
06:47Travelling zones of old allows us to revisit our history,
06:50and check in with what's been happening since we last stormed through.
06:53It's worth taking some time to explore the places we find ourselves.
06:57You never know when you'll find a lovely spot to sit,
07:00rest,
07:00and take in the view.
07:01Those relics we're hunting, though.
07:03Each of them leads us to dive a little deeper into the life of the paladins who owned them,
07:08see what we can learn from their stories and how they lived,
07:11what they truly valued,
07:12and use that to push forward into the battle ahead.
07:15Once we're done learning,
07:17recruiting aid,
07:18and planning our attack,
07:19it's time to take the fight to Zalatath.
07:21With the help of Magister Umric,
07:23we tear open a portal to the Voidstorm,
07:25a desolate landscape shaped by and infused with Void energy.
07:29Here, everything is eat or be eaten.
07:32All sorts of Void creatures are ready to devour the weak for their power,
07:35and Zalatath, with her devouring host,
07:38is at the helm,
07:39in charge of it all.
07:40Not everyone is happy with this leadership, though,
07:42and alongside Illyria, Arator, and Lothraxian,
07:45we meet the Dominar,
07:46highly intelligent and powerful Void beings,
07:49and learn more about the Harbinger's origins.
07:52The Void Elves,
07:53experts in all things dark magic,
07:55are also here to help put a stop to Zalatath
07:58and research the nature of the Voidstorm.
08:00The Voidstorm is as beautiful as it is dangerous.
08:03The desolation stretches for miles visually.
08:07The sky is pocked with holes to who knows where.
08:10The plant life feels like we might find it growing
08:12in the darkest depths of the ocean,
08:14and the Void Spire dominates the skyline
08:16no matter where you stand.
08:18If you thirst for the blood of the opposite faction,
08:21be sure to head north.
08:22The Void posts in Slayer's Rise need capturing,
08:25and you'll need to slay all in your path to do it.
08:28So much to learn, do, and see on our journey to level 90.
08:32Where will you go first when our companions part ways
08:35after the Everson Woods chapter of the campaign?
08:37Will you head east to meet with the Armani
08:39and learn of the Loa?
08:40Will you dive beneath with Orweina
08:42and recruit the Harrenir?
08:44Or will you bolster our defense of the Sunwell
08:46with relics and light?
08:47Once you've aided them all,
08:48prepare yourself for the battle ahead,
08:50and I'll meet you at the Void Spire.
