00:03Okay, so former President Barack Obama goes on Brian Taylor Cohen's podcast.
00:07They're doing a lightning round when Cohen hits him with,
00:10are aliens real?
00:11Obama replies, uh, they're real, but I haven't seen them.
00:15Then he jokes they're not in Area 51 unless there's some enormous conspiracy that they hid it from the president.
00:21Needless to say, after that line, the internet kind of blew up.
00:24So Obama then hops on Instagram, because that's how presidents clarify alien rumors now,
00:29and says,
00:29Okay, okay, the universe is huge.
00:32Statistically, life probably exists somewhere,
00:34but I saw zero evidence of aliens visiting Earth during my presidency.
00:39Really?
00:39Now, Area 51 has been a conspiracy Disneyland for decades.
00:43People swear it's full of UFO debris, alien tech, maybe a couple little green interns,
00:48but the CIA fully admitted the base exists in 2013, and then immediately said,
00:53but no aliens.
00:54But despite the claim, polls show more than half of Americans
00:57think the government is hiding UFO info anyway.
01:00So Obama saying,
01:01I didn't see any aliens is basically like your sibling saying,
01:05no, I didn't touch your leftovers.
01:06Technically true, but do we buy it?
