00:00So we are the team launched today in Saudi, in Aramco headquarters, and yeah, it is an incredible moment, an
00:09achievement by everyone in Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 team to launch the first car in 2026, and hopefully a
00:17fast one, we have a lot of hopes, a lot of hard work from everyone into this car, and we
00:23are very excited.
00:23As a driver, to be in a team that is a works team together with Honda and the sustainable fuels
00:30of this new year regulations with Aramco, it gives us the feeling of proudness, I think, first of all, because
00:37we are in an incredible organization and pursuing the excellence in everything we do, and I think incredible brands together,
00:47Aston Martin, Honda, and Aramco, three great, great brands that they are searching.
00:53The same common goal, you know, to win in Formula 1, so as a driver, you feel in safe hands.
00:58I think this year represents a very big challenge in terms of regulations, hydrodynamically, you know, a completely new set
01:05of regulations on the power unit side, a lot of more electrification, you know, on the engine, 50-50 nearly,
01:12so the hybrid power unit is going to be crucial in terms of performance,
01:16and then together with that we have, for the very first time, full sustainable fuels, you know, into the cars,
01:22so I think the achievements that, you know, have been done, you know, in the last few months
01:29to, you know, embrace these regulations is remarkable, and I think the team is very proud of what we present
01:37today.
01:37I think this project, it is special because Aston Martin, Aramco Formula 1 team, it's a team that is still
01:45very young, you know, only a few years that we are putting everything together.
01:50There is the brand new facilities in Silverstone, the brand new wind tunnel that just opened in the last April,
01:57and now we are with Honda and Aramco, you know, with this incredible set of regulations.
02:03So, you know, Adrian Newey into the project as well, you know, the best designer in Formula 1, so we
02:10have now all the pieces, we just need to glue them and hopefully succeed.
02:13I think the main objectives into the testing now in Bahrain is going to be understanding the car, all the
02:21cars, they have weaknesses and strengths,
02:24and you need to understand those as soon as you can to develop in the weaknesses.
02:28There is not much time before we head into Australia for the race one, and we need to understand, you
02:35know, in the first days of testing, you know, what we need to work in the next few weeks.
02:40Also, it's going to be the very first time that we run with everyone in the same track, so, you
02:46know, to spot differences in terms of philosophies with other cars, other teams, you know,
02:51will be crucial as well to guide us also in terms of directions in development.
02:56I think it is an important moment for the journey of this team, because for the very first time we
03:03have all the pieces of the puzzle, you know, together.
03:08You know, we have the facilities, we have an engine that works only for us, we have the sustainable fuels,
03:17we have Adrian Newey, we have big names that are joining the team,
03:20and now it is a challenge to put everything together, but at the same time it is the very first
03:27year that everything is in the campus.
03:29So, I think it is one of the most important seasons for Aston Martin so far.
03:35All right.
