00:16I'm Craig DeGrali. In today's Media Miss Minute, we have two stories to tell you about
00:20that you likely are not hearing from partisan media outlets,
00:23starting with what the left is not talking much about.
00:26The Virginia House has passed two bills aimed at assault-style firearms.
00:31One bill would ban the sale or transfer of certain weapons defined as assault firearms,
00:37including magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.
00:40The other toughens penalties for improper gun storage.
00:44Both still need approval from the state Senate before they could likely become law.
00:48Now to what the right is glossing over.
00:50A federal judge has rejected a request to add early voting sites at three North Carolina universities.
00:57The ruling backs Republican-controlled election boards that declined to open on-campus early voting
01:03at Western Carolina University, UNC Greensboro, and North Carolina A&T.
01:09Students at all three schools will have to travel off-campus if they want to vote early in person.
