00:00Hello and welcome along to episode 7 of the Traitors Uncloaked, the visualized companion podcast with me, Ed Gamble.
00:07This is your obligatory spoiler alert. If you haven't seen that action-packed 7th episode yet, get it watched.
00:12Then come back and enjoy the chat fest we have ready for you.
00:15Coming up on Uncloaked, she's here, one of the most entertaining faithful ever.
00:20Harriet will be answering all our questions about that incredible hour of TV.
00:24We have the exclusive moment Harriet found out the identity of our traitors.
00:29Plus, celebrity faithful Clare Balding and series 1 OG Maddie give us all their reactions to the latest Castle action.
00:40Welcome, welcome to both of you. Maddie, welcome back to Uncloaked.
00:43Thanks.
00:44Clare, welcome to Uncloaked for the first time.
00:46Thank you very much.
00:47And we know why you're both here. It's not to meet me, it's to meet the amazing Harriet.
00:51Oh my God, so excited about meeting her.
00:53Are you enjoying the series so far?
00:54Love it. Oh my gosh.
00:56It's amazing.
00:56Love the twists. Love the strong knitwear game.
01:00There's a lot of good knitwear flying around.
01:02There's a lot of good knitwear.
01:03Yeah. Tom Daley will be livid.
01:05Oh my God, can you imagine?
01:07We need to discuss the traitors' decision in the turret at the end.
01:11We're going to start at the end.
01:12They've decided to murder instead of recruiting.
01:15I think that's so dangerous. So dangerous.
01:17Even though they've narrowed it down to three players,
01:19and we know as a viewer two of them have a shield,
01:22it's 33.3% chance that they'll get it right.
01:25No, we said this, haven't we, there?
01:27What is it?
01:27Yeah, it's...
01:28It's 66 to 1.
01:29It's 66 to 1, getting it right.
01:31Because two of the horses, she knows horse stuff.
01:34Apparently I do.
01:36Apparently I do.
01:37No, no, you know what I mean.
01:38Like, the probabilities.
01:40Anyway, it struck me as a big risk.
01:42Like, there's way more chance of getting it wrong, obviously,
01:45than getting it right.
01:46And if they had recruited, they could have said they'd murdered.
01:50Yeah.
01:50But then Rachel or Stephen, who both have shields,
01:53could reveal their shield and go,
01:55they tried to murder me.
01:56Yes.
01:57And that, I would have thought, would have been the clever play.
01:59Do we think their choice to murder
02:01is the start of their plan to recruit Matthew?
02:04Because this is, so far, if they try and murder Jesse,
02:07that's what he asked them to do in the confessional.
02:10Do we have a deal?
02:11So they seem to be thinking,
02:12let's try and stick to what he asked
02:13so he still trusts us and then we'll recruit him.
02:16Yeah, that's interesting.
02:16I think so.
02:17That would be a good idea.
02:18Yeah.
02:18Yeah.
02:19But Stephen is not going to murder Jesse
02:21because Jesse is the one thing he's got
02:24that proves he's faithful.
02:25And Jesse's so believable.
02:27Remember, she was in the room
02:28and now they've got Fiona.
02:29You're right.
02:30With the library theory.
02:31Exactly.
02:32Exactly, in the library.
02:33She needs to stay in the game for Stephen.
02:35I think so.
02:36I don't think they murder Jesse.
02:37Well, they can't anyway
02:38because of the shield.
02:39But you think they won't even try and murder Jesse.
02:41It's potentially between Adam and James.
02:44There was the amazing scene
02:46where Harriet called out the traitors
02:48in the confessional.
02:49Let's remind ourselves of that moment
02:51and your reaction as you watched.
02:53I think we all know
02:55that the gig is up for Rachel.
02:57Oh, my God.
03:00I am as certain as I possibly can be
03:03that Rachel is in that confessional.
03:07Rachel, you're right?
03:10I think tomorrow
03:11that it will be very interesting
03:14to see who acts in Rachel's defence
03:17as I will have no compunction
03:20in going after her.
03:22And you know what?
03:23You can't murder me tonight.
03:25I think my heart stopped for a bit.
03:28Yeah, same.
03:29Because it's the setting as well, isn't it?
03:31And it being, you know...
03:32If I were Rachel,
03:33I think I'd have yelped like a puppy.
03:35Yeah.
03:37I know you're in there.
03:38What I liked is she did admit
03:39she was terrified.
03:41And you could see it.
03:42I was scared for her.
03:43I was scared.
03:44Because she was not expecting this at all.
03:45She had no idea
03:46that Harriet had any suspicion on her.
03:48No.
03:49But there's something about it
03:50being in a church
03:51when Harriet was coming for her.
03:53Oh, I know.
03:54As well.
03:54It makes it even more like,
03:56oh, my God.
03:57Yeah.
03:57Good scarf, though, from Harriet.
03:58Great scarf.
03:59Writer.
04:00Yeah.
04:00I don't think we focus on the same things
04:02when we're watching the show.
04:03Oh, no.
04:04Maddy, do you think
04:05Rachel's going to crack
04:06under the pressure now?
04:07Well, with her FBI training,
04:09I think, hopefully not,
04:11you know,
04:12because that stands her in good stead.
04:13Yeah.
04:14But, yeah,
04:15she does go red a bit,
04:16doesn't she?
04:17And so maybe
04:18she's feeling the pressure
04:19of the church,
04:21the...
04:21You know what I mean?
04:22I think she's really solid, though.
04:24I mean, I think genuinely,
04:26Harriet's the one
04:26that scared her the most.
04:27So if Harriet hadn't
04:28gone at the round table,
04:30they would have murdered Harriet
04:31because they would have had to.
04:33Rachel would have had to.
04:34And that would have put her
04:35under the spotlight
04:35way more than what actually happened.
04:38No, I agree with that.
04:38Way more.
04:39Yeah, totally.
04:39And I think Rachel kind of
04:41looked a bit scared
04:42during that confessional thing,
04:43which is one of the most
04:44terrifying confrontations
04:45we've ever seen on the show.
04:46Oh, yes, I agree.
04:47So the fact that she didn't
04:48completely crumble there
04:49would...
04:49And at breakfast!
04:50You know, you're sat down
04:51at breakfast,
04:52Harriet's coming in
04:53and throwing accusations
04:54straight away.
04:54She held it together.
04:55She was so lucky
04:56she got into breakfast first.
04:57Yeah.
04:57And then also,
04:58you've got time to settle yourself
04:59and it's, you know,
05:00you've got time to have a coffee
05:01and a bit, Melon.
05:02She's really had...
05:02She's thought about it,
05:03hasn't she?
05:04A little bit cross.
05:05And chamomile tea.
05:05Chamomile tea.
05:06Well, that calmed...
05:07Calmed Harriet.
05:08That's a good look, though, isn't it?
05:10You'd be like,
05:10well, someone's having chamomile tea.
05:11They must be stressed
05:12about something.
05:13They could be a traitor.
05:14Oh, good point.
05:14Yeah.
05:15Yeah.
05:16We do need to touch
05:17on all the shield drama
05:19in this episode.
05:20A lot of shields.
05:20A lot of shields
05:21knocking around.
05:23Seven?
05:23Yeah, well, yeah,
05:24they were so shocked
05:25to see that seven players
05:26had taken shields
05:27wiping £7,000
05:28off of the prize money.
05:30Now, obviously,
05:31both of you
05:31died in the wool faithful.
05:33Yes.
05:34Of course.
05:35I got a shield, though, once.
05:36Yeah, me too.
05:37And I really went for it.
05:38Isn't it a great feeling?
05:39Terrific feeling.
05:40Yeah, but it's a great feeling.
05:41But you got it legitimately
05:42in full view of everyone.
05:44And then just pop luck.
05:44Would you have secretly
05:46taken a shield
05:47from underneath the statue?
05:49I think so.
05:50You would have done?
05:50Yeah.
05:51And then I think
05:52it's better when you
05:52keep it quiet
05:53and just try and be like...
05:55See, I wouldn't.
05:56You wouldn't?
05:57No.
05:57Terrible at that.
05:59Actually, just a terrible,
06:00terrible liar.
06:02You're not a terrible...
06:03Well, I don't know.
06:08I thought you were going
06:10to say,
06:11you're not a terrible person.
06:14You are a terrible liar.
06:16Don't lie to me.
06:19Now, obviously,
06:19with the mission,
06:20with the shields,
06:22Sam's aim was
06:23for the group
06:24to just take one.
06:24That was the agreement.
06:25They're taking one shield
06:26and to not tell the others
06:28that it's Jessie
06:29who had the shield.
06:30Do we rate that gameplay?
06:32Yeah.
06:32I don't know what got
06:33into James' head,
06:34apart from feeling...
06:35But you let your rest
06:36of your camp down then
06:38and I just think
06:38if you're going to be
06:39a team player,
06:40be a team player.
06:41Yeah, I think
06:41he got carried away.
06:43I think Adam's
06:43really disappointed in him
06:45because Adam was.
06:46Yeah.
06:46Right, we have so much
06:48to discuss
06:48with our latest
06:49banished player.
06:50Harriet is about
06:51to join us here
06:52on Uncloaked
06:52but first,
06:53here's the exclusive moment
06:54she found out
06:55who the traitors are
06:56immediately after
06:57leaving the castle.
07:02It was a banishment
07:03that was needed
07:04in order to establish
07:05the truth
07:07of my faithful status
07:09and also I think
07:11to be fair
07:12I had had
07:13quite a big exit.
07:15It was perhaps time
07:17not to be the last
07:18at the party.
07:19I think that it was
07:20probably my moment
07:22to depart
07:23and I did it
07:24on my own terms.
07:25I don't think
07:26many can say that
07:27with this game.
07:28My number one thoughts
07:29on traitors,
07:31on who the traitors are,
07:33are Rachel,
07:35maybe Roxy
07:37and then
07:38for the most glorious
07:40plot twist of all
07:41James and Jesse
07:43with Sam
07:44but you know what?
07:47It could be anyone.
07:48I can't wait to see
07:50if my suspicions
07:52are correct.
07:54Oh my goodness me.
07:56Oh my goodness me.
07:58Here we go.
07:59Deep breath.
08:03Stephen!
08:05Oh!
08:07Stephen!
08:08A good Lewis boy there.
08:10That's,
08:11I like that,
08:12representing
08:12for the Western Isles.
08:14That is tremendous.
08:16But oh,
08:17he has done
08:18a brilliant job.
08:20Good for him.
08:20I mean, you know,
08:21in the worst possible way
08:22but good for him.
08:24And the next one is...
08:33It's Rachel.
08:34It's Rachel.
08:36It's Rachel.
08:37Oh!
08:41Sorry, forgive me.
08:43It's just really nice
08:44to be right.
08:45And what is lovely
08:47about this
08:48is that now
08:49I can really
08:51cheer on
08:52Team Faithful
08:54and I just
08:55really hope
08:55that
08:56if they end up
08:57up against Rachel
08:59I think that
09:00I've done enough
09:01to ruin
09:02Rachel's credibility
09:03at the end.
09:07And Harriet's
09:08with us now!
09:11Welcome Harriet.
09:12Welcome to Uncloaked.
09:13Thank you for having me.
09:14We loved watching you
09:15find out
09:16who the traitors are there.
09:17Obviously delighted
09:18to be confirmed
09:19that Rachel's a traitor.
09:21Yeah, that was
09:22a frightening moment.
09:24I mean,
09:24I'd put so much on it.
09:25You've seen
09:26how I was
09:27at Roundtable.
09:28You've seen
09:28how I was
09:29at breakfast.
09:30If her name
09:31had not been there
09:32it would have been
09:33I think
09:34the biggest humiliation
09:35of my life
09:36and so
09:37it was just
09:38such a relief
09:39and it doesn't
09:39you know
09:40all the other mistakes
09:41just fade into
09:42complete insignificance
09:43that you know
09:44yeah
09:44just nailing that
09:46you know
09:47however much
09:48it didn't do me
09:49any good
09:50I was right
09:51you know
09:52I was right
09:52and that is a vindication
09:54I'll take to my grave.
09:55It's really interesting
09:56speaking to you now
09:57that you had any worry
09:58that Rachel wasn't
09:59a traitor
10:00because from our perspective
10:02you were so sure
10:03100% sure
10:05you were going
10:05into that confessional
10:06going
10:07Rachel's behind there
10:09imagine what it would
10:10look like
10:10if it was like
10:10if it was James
10:11stood behind there
10:13The thing is
10:14that you know
10:14you work yourself up
10:16to do something
10:17and I'd like
10:17really sort of
10:19screwed my courage up
10:20to go in there
10:21and so I had to believe
10:22that it's
10:23this is it
10:24this is it
10:24this is it
10:25and then afterwards
10:26it completely collapsed
10:27I came out of that
10:29and was just
10:29a complete crumbling wreck
10:31of what if I've got
10:32that completely wrong
10:33I've put my entire house
10:35on this horse
10:36and what if that horse
10:37is a donkey
10:38Why did you decide
10:39not to keep Rachel close
10:41because if she had no idea
10:42you could have got
10:43all the way to the end
10:43Well I think this is
10:44what we definitely
10:45wanted to ask
10:45from episode 6
10:46where you're saying things
10:48like I want to keep
10:49my enemies closer
10:50and you keep your cars
10:52close to your chest
10:52within the space
10:53of maybe 12 hours
10:54you're then going
10:55it's you Rachel
10:56I know it's you
10:57You're in there
10:59If I hadn't
11:00if smoke and mirrors
11:02hadn't come up
11:02as a challenge
11:03if I hadn't won it
11:04if I hadn't smashed
11:05the mirror that had
11:06the smoke
11:07I think I would have
11:08kept going
11:09I will say
11:09it was actually
11:10quite a strain
11:12being friendly
11:13with someone
11:14I was so sure
11:15was a traitor
11:16because at some point
11:18I knew that
11:19I would have to vote
11:20for somebody
11:21you know
11:21if I sort of
11:22kept on going
11:23I would need then
11:24to start voting
11:24for people
11:25that I didn't believe
11:26were traitors
11:27in order to stay
11:28in with her
11:29and that was
11:29a level of duplicity
11:30I didn't feel
11:31comfortable with
11:32and I basically
11:34painted myself
11:35into a corner
11:36and so I decided
11:38to set fire to it
11:39which really
11:41No fair play
11:42burn the book
11:43Not yours
11:47All of them
11:49All of them
11:50There's only one author
11:51there
11:51You know when
11:52Rachel
11:52they wrote on the thing
11:54and they were like
11:55No take her
11:56that should be
11:57your line
11:57of your next novel
11:58Oh that's a good one
12:00We were chatting
12:01and we were like
12:02what a great line
12:03It was so clever
12:03They were so clever
12:04with that
12:05because I did then
12:06spend the rest
12:07of the time
12:07going what do I do now
12:08do I
12:09Oh God
12:10Yeah it was a proper
12:12Yeah that was a good
12:13answer
12:14The mind games
12:15on this
12:15was quite phenomenal
12:17They were very
12:18very smart
12:19in how they
12:20carried it out
12:21No they said
12:22Take her
12:23Take her
12:25Harriet what was it
12:26like to finally see
12:27Rachel's reaction
12:28to the exchange
12:29in the confessional booth
12:30to see what was going
12:31on behind that wall
12:32That was a good moment
12:33That was very cathartic
12:35And we've not seen her
12:36shaken in this game
12:37really
12:37Oh she's been brilliant
12:39Even with the Fiona stuff
12:41She honestly
12:42blinded her
12:42No one else
12:44had an idea
12:45She is cool
12:46as a cucumber
12:47So yeah there is
12:48a certain
12:49petty vindication
12:50in seeing her
12:51suffer just for
12:52that split second
12:53She was terrified
12:53I was terrified
12:54watching it
12:56Stephen's reactions
12:57are incredible
12:58to everything
12:58Oh yeah
12:59He was like
12:59Oh my God
13:00Because you could see
13:01how much
13:02he was enjoying it
13:03like he was watching
13:04the television show
13:04Yeah
13:05His eyes
13:05He was so excited
13:06His eyes are so expressive
13:07aren't they
13:08they go so big
13:09Yeah
13:09And it was also
13:11relief that you
13:12weren't going after him
13:13as well
13:13He was like
13:14I'm glad that's not me
13:15Because actually in your
13:16long list of
13:17suspected traitors
13:18Stephen wasn't on it
13:19No he didn't come up
13:20But you know there's
13:21that thing
13:21when you do the
13:22speed awareness courts
13:23and they show you
13:23the psychological thing
13:24they tell you to watch
13:25a basketball play
13:27in play
13:28and you watch the
13:29basketball being thrown
13:30around the court
13:31and you're focused on that
13:32so you miss the man
13:33in the gorilla suit
13:34who runs from one side
13:35of the court
13:35to the other
13:36and I was so hyper-focused
13:38on Rachel
13:39and Stephen I think
13:40had been really smart
13:41we barely interacted
13:42other than that
13:43brilliant mission
13:44where we do the pictures
13:46we had had nothing
13:47to do with each other
13:48and so you know
13:49Jesse is obviously
13:50completely on to him
13:51I was completely
13:52on to Rachel
13:53you know I'm just sad
13:54that we didn't join forces
13:55and work together
13:56because I think
13:56we would have been
13:57you know phenomenal
13:58Rachel's the basketball
13:59and Stephen's the gorilla
14:00Yes
14:01Harriet now that you've seen
14:03how Matthew played
14:04his moment in the
14:05confessional with the traitors
14:06Yes
14:07How do you rate his game?
14:09Because it's the
14:10complete opposite of yours
14:11It's highly intelligent
14:13and massively sneaky
14:15and it actually
14:16has been
14:17because I was
14:18afterwards
14:19you know his name
14:20wasn't on the list
14:21of traitors
14:22so I was a bit like
14:23how could I have
14:23suspected that
14:24lovely boy
14:25now that I've seen this
14:27it's like well obviously
14:28he was wanting to be
14:29you know he was
14:30a wannabe traitor
14:30he was you know
14:31the traitor in waiting
14:32it was quite remarkable
14:34to watch
14:35and it was
14:35the comparison
14:37between you two
14:38and how you treated it
14:39I've got a great deal
14:40of integrity
14:41you were just like punk
14:43you were just like
14:43I know who you are
14:45I'm coming after you
14:46and Matthew went
14:47oh please
14:48I want to be one
14:50he's been quite quiet
14:52up until this point
14:53though hasn't he
14:53so were you surprised
14:54to see him make that move
14:56I think
14:57given that
14:57we had voted him
14:59the fairest
15:00in terms of
15:01you know
15:02the nicest game player
15:04everyone trusted him
15:05is there someone
15:06in there
15:07who's overestimated
15:08whose voice is carrying
15:09more votes
15:09than just them
15:10do you know what I mean
15:11there's always someone
15:12and you know it from
15:13you know juries
15:14do it all the time
15:15they're like that
15:16all the time
15:16one juror
15:17can carry with them
15:19four or five
15:19I think Rachel
15:20Rachel
15:21she has been
15:22if I hadn't been
15:24bounced by smoke
15:25and mirrors
15:26I was hoping
15:27I'd have the opportunity
15:28to gather some more evidence
15:29but she has been
15:31so beneath the radar
15:33everybody loves her
15:35and she's done so
15:36but the thing
15:37watching it now
15:38the thing I can't believe
15:39no one else really
15:39picked up on
15:40is that every day
15:41she's been there
15:42as Little Miss Sunshine
15:43in her dungarees
15:44her yellow tops
15:45you know
15:46looking like a primary school
15:47and brilliant
15:48you know
15:48but then that last day
15:50you know
15:51that she's there
15:52as I said
15:53dressed to kill
15:54in this sleek burgundy
15:55looking a million dollars
15:57and you know
15:58nobody's picked up
15:59on this switch
16:00that she's gone from
16:01you know
16:02some sort of
16:03kindergarten
16:05now hiding in plain sight
16:06which is more effective
16:08Claire
16:08who do you think
16:09had the better strategy
16:10there was Harriet's play
16:11to take on the traitors
16:12of course
16:13or was it
16:13Matty's play
16:14to keep them on side
16:15it depends
16:16if you're trying
16:17to win the game
16:17or you're trying
16:18to win life
16:18for me
16:19Harriet wins in life
16:20because the integrity
16:21is important
16:22and she was bold
16:24and strong
16:24and I love that
16:26in the context
16:27of the game
16:27Matty is playing
16:29a blinder
16:30and it's more effective
16:31no no
16:31I was
16:32I was completely
16:33without strategy
16:33by that point
16:34the idea of winning
16:35the game
16:35had gone out the window
16:36Matty if you
16:37if you'd have
16:38that opportunity
16:38in your series
16:39to speak to the traitors
16:40in the confessional
16:42what would you have said
16:43apart from hello Will
16:44hi Will
16:46oh I would
16:47I'd love to have seen that
16:49it's you Will
16:49I did think
16:51I think I'd be like
16:54what's your name
16:55you know what I mean
16:56yeah
16:56do you think that
16:57would have worked
16:57no
16:58I mean it's a lovely thought
17:00but they just have said
17:01you know
17:02whoever the opposite
17:03I think you did brilliant
17:04like I think
17:05I think the passion
17:06and everything
17:07I probably would have
17:08done the same
17:09and been like
17:09Wilf come out
17:11Harriet you offered
17:12you offered Roxy
17:13yes
17:14the opportunity
17:14to take your
17:15conversation with the traitors
17:16yes
17:17why did you do that
17:18because if I went
17:19into that chapel
17:20then I was going to have
17:21to do a confrontation
17:22with Rachel
17:22because I couldn't see
17:23any other way to play it
17:25and I couldn't think
17:25of any other questions
17:26Roxy's point about saying
17:28why would you offer that
17:30to me
17:30you must be a traitor
17:31does not make any sense
17:32no it makes no sense
17:33because a traitor
17:34would want that opportunity
17:35more than a faithful
17:36no I think though
17:38the difficulty is
17:39for all of us
17:40that you know
17:40by the time
17:41that you're halfway through
17:42and you know this
17:43if anyone says
17:44anything remotely anomalous
17:46it's leapt on
17:47and you're like
17:48all right
17:48that must mean
17:49and so
17:50I think it didn't
17:52make sense to Roxy
17:53because she didn't
17:54have time to sit down
17:55and think about it
17:56and you know
17:56with any of us
17:58you get bounced
17:58with something weird
17:59you're just like
18:00oh that's weird
18:01you must be guilty
18:02rather than
18:02oh there's a logical
18:03explanation for this
18:04let's stop and think
18:05about it
18:06let's talk about
18:07the breakfast
18:07the next morning
18:09you came into breakfast
18:10fired up
18:11yes
18:12what made you decide
18:13to go on the offensive
18:14that morning
18:15I didn't want
18:16to give them
18:17the opportunity
18:18to spin anything
18:20against me
18:21in advance
18:21I mean
18:22I knew
18:23what I'd said
18:24in the confessional
18:25and I
18:26I was at that point
18:27believing that
18:28there'd been you know
18:28five people crammed
18:30in that chapel
18:30all night
18:31and so everyone
18:33was against me
18:33I just had to get
18:35my cards out
18:36on the table
18:37as far as I was
18:38concerned
18:38and not let
18:40anybody
18:40you know
18:41people could then
18:42make of it
18:43what they would
18:43but at least
18:45I would know
18:45that I had
18:46controlled my own
18:47narrative
18:48as much as
18:48was humanly possible
18:49there was no
18:51strategy by this
18:52point
18:52you know
18:52it was kamikaze
18:53it was
18:54as simple as that
18:55I'd say that
18:56rational thought
18:58had sort of
18:58departed the building
18:59I'm very glad
19:00you used the phrase
19:01cat amongst the
19:02pigeons though
19:03because in the
19:03previous episode
19:04Stephen had said
19:05cat amongst the
19:05chickens
19:05which I love
19:06I love that
19:07but it was
19:08good to have
19:08a correction
19:09it did make me
19:10laugh
19:11that did make
19:13me laugh
19:14why did you
19:15decide to
19:16reveal your
19:16identity
19:17as former
19:18barrister
19:19at breakfast
19:20to everyone
19:21rather than
19:21just the
19:21traitors
19:22again I
19:22didn't want
19:22them having
19:23something
19:23that they
19:24knew and
19:24everyone else
19:25didn't
19:25it wasn't
19:27I think
19:28I mean I
19:30probably shouldn't
19:30have said it
19:31in the chapel
19:31the night before
19:32I should have
19:32held that to
19:33myself
19:33but I mean
19:34again I
19:34just sort of
19:35slightly lost
19:36it
19:36and I had
19:38had enough
19:39of playing
19:39nice
19:40like a
19:41nice lady
19:41in a scarf
19:42but the
19:44first question
19:45really I had
19:46afterwards was
19:47was Rachel
19:47alright
19:48because within
19:49the game
19:50I'm delighted
19:51on a human
19:52level
19:52you know of
19:54course I wasn't
19:54wanting her to
19:55feel bad
19:55and I didn't
19:56want me to
19:56feel bad
19:57and there's
19:58all of the
19:58whatsapp
19:59and everybody
20:00is incredibly
20:01supportive of
20:02each other
20:02I mean there's
20:03an aspect of
20:04you know you
20:04remember the
20:04time I tried
20:05to destroy
20:06you
20:07oh yeah
20:10don't worry
20:10about that
20:11I mean I
20:12know I
20:12said then
20:12I was
20:13hoping for
20:13a faithful
20:14victory
20:14I am
20:15there is
20:15a part
20:16of me
20:16now
20:16which is
20:17a bit
20:17like hang
20:18on a minute
20:18none of
20:19them listen
20:20to me
20:20why should
20:21they get
20:21better
20:22I think
20:24Stephen and
20:24Rachel
20:25you know up
20:26to that point
20:26at least
20:27definitely
20:28deserve it
20:29definitely
20:29deserve it
20:30and I mean I
20:31hate to say
20:31I'm team
20:32traitor but at
20:33least I'd have
20:33been beaten
20:34by Brazil
20:34you know
20:36your speech
20:37at the start
20:38of the round
20:38table was
20:38absolutely
20:39incredible
20:39it was your
20:40second barnstorming
20:41speech of the
20:42day
20:42let's just get a
20:43little flavour of
20:44it now
20:44we move on then
20:46to the day of
20:46Hugo and you
20:48said to me
20:48you'll put a
20:49target on your
20:49back don't do
20:50it
20:52and I laid out
20:53my case against
20:54Hugo and I was
20:55really struck by
20:56the fact that you
20:57went straight off
20:58into Ross
21:00we know now that
21:01Ross was a
21:02faithful
21:03I felt that there
21:04was something wrong
21:05I felt I'd been
21:06played
21:08did you prepare
21:09for what you
21:10were going to
21:10say at the
21:11round table
21:11oh yes
21:11yeah
21:12you'd run
21:13through everything
21:13in your head
21:14oh yes
21:14repeatedly
21:14I'd written it
21:15down and I'd
21:16written it down
21:16and I'd written
21:17it down
21:17and then I had
21:18sort of made it
21:19shorter and shorter
21:20to memorise it
21:21because it was
21:23all in my head
21:23how did you feel
21:24in that moment
21:25when you're laying
21:26out your argument
21:27are you confident
21:27or are you nervous
21:28or
21:29I think that
21:30at that stage
21:32I was past
21:33nerves
21:33because I didn't
21:34I knew no one
21:35was with me
21:36I had already
21:37got that sense
21:38from how people
21:40had been
21:40everyone was being
21:42very nice
21:42but nobody was
21:45like we really
21:45want to hear it
21:46I mean you did
21:47a terrific job
21:47but isn't it
21:48extraordinary
21:48when you feel
21:49the wave turn
21:50against you
21:51and you know
21:51groupthink is
21:52happening against
21:53you
21:53and there is
21:54that moment
21:55of slight
21:56I can't do
21:57anything to stop
21:58this
21:58so I'm just
21:59going to
22:00I'm going to
22:00accept this
22:00graciously
22:01and I actually
22:02haven't got it
22:03in me to fight
22:04because defending
22:05yourself is really
22:06difficult
22:06attacking someone
22:07else is much
22:08easier
22:08much easier
22:09and those
22:11that are guilty
22:11so the traitors
22:12they deflect
22:13and they attack
22:14and they
22:14look over here
22:16over here
22:16over here
22:17and you just
22:18feel it happening
22:19as you just
22:20can't win
22:20and it was the
22:21first time I'd
22:22ever had to
22:22defend myself
22:23no one had
22:24accused me before
22:24and I realised
22:25I didn't like it
22:26at all
22:27being under
22:27suspicion
22:28I really didn't
22:29like it
22:30and that I
22:31was going to
22:32have to keep
22:32doing it
22:33now
22:33and I didn't
22:34want that
22:34and halfway
22:35through
22:35I just remember
22:37the switch
22:37in my brain
22:38I was halfway
22:38through saying
22:39this is why
22:40you've got it
22:40all wrong
22:41to go on
22:41then
22:42just say
22:43I'm a traitor
22:43let's just
22:44get this over
22:44and done with
22:45how did it
22:46feel to have
22:47the nation
22:47suspect you
22:48of being
22:48the secret
22:49traitor
22:49for the period
22:50of time
22:50everyone
22:51thought I
22:52was
22:52and they
22:53were
22:53all my
22:54friends
22:54were messaging
22:55me saying
22:56I hope
22:56you are
22:57I hope
22:57you are
22:57oh I bet
22:58it's you
22:59it is very
23:00hard when
23:01being falsely
23:02accused
23:02not to try
23:03and clear
23:04my name
23:05I do think
23:05we might have
23:06been slightly
23:06complicit in
23:07that on
23:08uncloaked
23:08Harriet
23:09I'm sorry
23:09because people
23:10noticed that
23:11we've put your
23:12portrait next
23:12to Stephen
23:14and Rachel
23:14I was aware
23:15I was aware
23:15of this
23:15and I've
23:16been trying
23:16very hard
23:17not to say
23:17anything
23:18about it
23:18yes
23:18well we
23:19apologise
23:20it was
23:20random
23:21portrait
23:21placing
23:22we should
23:23point out
23:23that the
23:24portraits
23:24are still
23:25up for
23:26audio
23:26listeners
23:27in that
23:27order
23:27it's
23:28Harriet
23:29next to
23:29Stephen
23:29who's
23:30next to
23:30Rachel
23:31so I
23:31can see
23:31why people
23:32might have
23:33tried to put
23:33those clues
23:34together
23:34not a traitor
23:35never a traitor
23:36never would
23:36be a traitor
23:37the secret
23:37traitor's twist
23:38really has sent
23:39the nation
23:39mad
23:41well that's
23:42it for part
23:42one but the
23:43chat continues
23:44on BBC
23:44Sounds right
23:45now we'll
23:46have more
23:46reaction and
23:46analysis from
23:47Claire and
