00:00Can you explain?
00:01Hi, welcome.
00:01Now.
00:02So what's that?
00:03No, so we were, she was just about to go to the airport.
00:06Who is she to y'all?
00:07That's our daughter.
00:09That's my daughter.
00:09Okay, okay.
00:10And we were getting ready to go to the airport and we were talking about guns and she said,
00:16you got a gun?
00:16I said, yes.
00:17I got it out and it just went off as she stood there.
00:20Like, as I pulled it out, it went off.
00:23Okay.
00:24It must have been, obviously.
00:25Did you put the gun on the bed?
00:26I put it on the bed straight away, yeah.
00:28Where was it at prior?
00:29It was in the bedside cabinet.
00:32Okay, you have like a little, you just keep it in there?
00:33Yeah, in a locked box, in a locked box.
00:35Okay.
00:36And we took it out to look and just as I picked it up, it went off.
00:38Okay.
00:40Ma'am, I'll have you step over here and we'll all come out over here.
00:42Okay.
00:42Okay, so sorry.
00:44Are they involved?
00:46Can somebody, can he go or somebody go?
00:48Yeah, we'll get it figured out.
00:49I got you.
00:49Yep.
00:50Here, let's just, I just want to see, so if they have to come out because there's like nine.
00:53Because they were about to go back to England, so she's not even.
00:55Oh, she's not coming then?
00:56Okay.
00:57This is her boyfriend.
00:58Her boy, okay, boyfriend.
01:00Okay.
01:02Baylor squad and white police here at McKinney All 3.
01:04Yep, we got it.
01:05More than likely, honestly, she's probably going to go to play now.
01:08Based on the injury.
01:10It'll be THR play now.
01:11Okay.
01:11More than likely.
01:12I'll tell you here shortly.
01:13Do you know if she's bleeding or?
01:14I'm not 100% sure.
01:16Okay.
01:16So, okay.
01:19Hey, Lucy, can somebody come in?
01:21Today's outcome has finally given Lucy her voice back after what has been an unrelating year of deep shock, grief
01:29and fight.
01:31Fight with quiet yet focused, steely determination to allow Lucy to speak her truth in the only way that she
01:39now can.
01:40At an inquest, whilst we recognise an unlawful killing outcome has been decided in a coroner's court and not a
01:46criminal one, we welcome the coroner's conclusion and thank her for exploring all of the evidence fairly, as fully as
01:54she could, and fearlessly for Lucy.
01:57Okay.
