00:00Greetings, everyone, and welcome to my channel. It is time for third out of three reactions for Eurovision today, and
00:07for the final reaction, I will be reacting to Latvia's representative, and Latvia will be represented by Atvara with a
00:14song called Ena. I'm not sure if that's how you pronounce this E with the acritic.
00:21So, I don't know anything about this song, and yeah, let's go listen to it, and then we're going to
00:26be talking about it. So yeah, we're all set. This is a national final performance, so let's go.
00:47Are we getting a palette? Let's see.
01:13She has a beautiful soothing voice, so pleasant to listen to.
01:36So far, beautiful. Wait, the background is doing a different thing now.
01:45Okay. Whoa!
01:49What?
01:50What?
02:02So now the background is a little girl.
02:10Ooh, wow!
02:11Whoa!
02:15This touching is done beautifully.
02:18What?
02:20Oh, goosebumps.
02:21This looks so good.
02:23Whoa!
02:29This is such a good shot.
02:32I mean, no point commenting on the singing. It's gorgeous.
02:44I will have to read the lyrics after listening.
02:50I am going to read the lyrics to the song.
02:56It's so good.
02:59Oh!
03:00My goosebumps have goosebumps.
03:06this is so beautiful
03:26so okay this this performance actually got me a bit emotional
03:29without understanding a single word and that's a testament to a great performance
03:37and vocal and emotional delivery of Atvaras truly
03:43I think she was also in tears at the end of at the end of the song
03:48so she was so emotional and it transferred it passed the language barriers
03:54and also the performance and the effects of the shattered glass
04:01it looks so beautiful
04:03basically the stage is very minimalistic but it's executed to perfection
04:10and yeah I want to read the lyrics before I say more
04:14because I kind of have an idea what it could be about
04:17but let's see I want to read it and then we're going to continue
04:21so I'm not going to be I'm not going to be reading in front of you
04:24because it's going to be boring I guess
04:27so I'm going to be right back
04:29all right so I read the lyrics and I thought it's purely about alcoholism
04:34but now I don't think so
04:36I also read some I also read her Instagram post
04:39and I think it's
04:43I think that there is hints about alcoholism affecting a family
04:47with the lyrics to the little girl that father is not coming home
04:52and that tomorrow everything will be fine
04:54so I think it deals with that
04:56and that it also deals with being perfect on the outside
05:02looking like everything is okay
05:03but actually being exhausted
05:04and like giving your energy to the wrong people
05:06and not to your family in this context
05:08I would say I might misinterpret it
05:10but I think that that's what it's about
05:15so vaguely
05:16so yeah overall
05:20it has a it has I would say a couple of heavy themes
05:24in it
05:25but I'm still impressed just how this song sounded so beautiful
05:30and how the emotions transferred without understanding it
05:33I did not need to understand the lyrics
05:36in order to be mesmerized by this song
05:38and I think that's its biggest strength
05:41and that's that's the proof
05:44this song is the proof that we
05:46that music transcends the language barriers
05:49and that if the emotion is there in the performer
05:52performer sorry
05:54that it will be felt even without understanding
05:57what it is about
06:00so yeah absolutely beautiful ballad
06:02another testament that we need good ballads in Eurovision
06:04I know that we like fast songs and bops
06:09so-called
06:10but I think that we need songs like this in Eurovision as well
06:13that's the beauty of the contest
06:17let's call it contest
06:18although it's kind of not
06:19at this point
06:21so yeah overall Latvia
06:23beautiful entry
06:26beautiful beautiful entry
06:27I don't have much to add
06:29very emotional and
06:33minimalistic performance
06:34but so so well executed
06:37and so effective
06:38and at what I just
06:39I mean
06:40no point to speak about her singing
06:42it's gorgeous
06:42it's beautiful
06:43I don't want to waste anybody's time on that
06:45but
06:46yeah
06:48overall
06:50fantastic entry from Latvia
06:52beautiful ballad that I look forward to hearing on big Eurovision stage
