00:00Well, you know, my expectation is that it should certainly be better than what it was during this interim period.
00:10But we should also not expect that suddenly everything will fall in place and it will take time.
00:20Both sides will have to make a lot of effort to build trust again.
00:27I think what happened in the last, you know, one and a half years and more is that the trust
00:35between the people of our two countries has got a little eroded.
00:40We saw the kind of statements which were coming out of Bangladesh did not help it at all at a
00:46leadership level at that.
00:47So there is much that can be done.
00:51India has always said, has had a policy of neighbourhood first and in the neighbourhood Bangladesh was.
00:57So within this parameter, I think there is much, a lot of diplomacy to take place between the two countries
01:06and let's see how it moves forward.
01:09But definitely it's a positive development.
01:29I think for them, from what I see as an observer and somebody who watches what's happening in Bangladesh, I
01:39think for the new government,
01:42law and order which, you know, really deteriorated under Professor Yunus, I mean, it almost seemed like the government had
01:51absolutely no control over the, you know, either the police and the army was out in the field, but was
02:01not that active.
02:02So together, I think law and order will be a paramount, should be a paramount concern and then I think
02:09the government will have to fix the economy because the economy is in a very bad state and, you know,
02:15their growth projections are very low.
02:17So no investments have taken place in Bangladesh and a lot of, you know, factories and business establishments have been
02:26vandalized, burned due to the overall, you know, culture of political revenge.
02:37So I think these two will be, a lot of repair work basically will have to be done so that,
02:45you know, Bangladesh can at some point at least come out of this vicious cycle of politics that they have
02:52of revenge and retribution.
02:54So I think there is a lot of responsibility on this government.
