A fresh political controversy has erupted after Lindsey Graham, a close ally of Donald Trump, launched a blistering attack on Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, comparing him to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. Graham’s remarks, referencing ideology and extremism, have triggered sharp reactions globally, with critics calling the comparison dangerous and inflammatory, while supporters argue it reflects growing frustration in Washington over Iran’s regional policies, nuclear program, and anti-West rhetoric.

00:00I believe the Ayatollah and his regime, not the Iranian people, are religious fanatics, religious Nazis.
00:07Hitler wanted a master race, they wanted a master religion.
00:10I think the likelihood of getting peace in our time with the Ayatollah is about the same as Hitler.
00:15Because he's a religious Nazi and the other guy wanted a master race.
00:22You were very pleased to see President Trump promise the Iranian protesters the help that they were calling for.
00:30And say help is on the way.
00:31And it seems like you're consistently reminding the President of what he promised.
00:35You wrote on Monday, President Trump said keep protesting, help is on the way.
00:39He will be on the right side of history.
00:41I believe him to be a man of his word.
00:43On Tuesday, you sort of doubled down.
00:46What's today?
00:48What day is it today?
00:49Today is some other day.
00:50Okay, good.
00:51I think it's Friday or Saturday.
00:53In any event, you've been very consistent.
00:55Listen, do you believe this and do you believe that President Trump should do what he said he would do?
01:01Here's what I believe.
01:02They're the weakest they've been since 1979.
01:06It is a regime with American blood on its hand.
01:10It's a great disruptor of the region.
01:14It's a religious theocracy that if they could get a nuclear weapon, they would use it to advance their religious
01:20goals, which are three, purify Islam, destroy the Jewish state, and come after us.
01:25Hiller wrote a book.
01:26He wanted to kill all the Jews.
01:27Nobody believed him.
01:28I believe that Ayatollah and his regime, not the Iranian people, are religious fanatics, religious Nazis.
01:35Hiller wanted a master race.
01:38They wanted a master religion.
01:39So why don't I mention that?
01:41There's no negotiating with these people, in my view.
01:44They're hell-bent on enacting agenda based on religion that teaches them to lie, teaches them to destroy in the
01:52name of God.
01:53So President Trump said something that's going to be the best thing he ever said or maybe the worst thing
01:59he ever said.
02:00When asked, what should the protesters do?
02:03Keep protesting.
02:05Now, that came from a man who genuinely believed that.
02:08That wasn't a calculated response.
02:11Ronald Reagan went to the Berlin Wall, and we still talk about it.
02:14He didn't say, do you mind lowering it?
02:17He said, tear it down.
02:18He was clear.
02:19He was concise.
02:20So President Trump gave an answer, keep protesting, help is on the way.
02:24And a couple of days later, he said, it's time for new leadership in Iran because the Ayatollah and his
02:31crowd, they're bad guys, they're terrible guys.
02:34You put all three of those statements together, then what do you have?
02:38You have a president standing with the people.
02:40What do the people want?
02:41They want the oppression to end.
02:44They want to start over with a new Iran.
02:46So here's what I would say.
02:47Are you backing regime change?
02:49Yeah, yeah, totally.
02:51If you're not, you're crazy.
02:52Military regime change.
02:53Yeah.
02:54I'm backing the people who want a country they can live in without having their daughter killed.
03:00But I'm trying to figure out, because there's a huge flotilla in the Arabian Sea that President Trump is using
03:04as a negotiating tactic.
03:06He's just said, as you heard me say, that he would prefer negotiating.
03:09I prefer negotiation, too.
03:11Let me finish my thought.
03:13If we back out now, it would be the biggest mistake we've made far worse than the Syrian red line,
03:20far worse than Afghanistan.
03:21You can't say, keep protesting, we got you back, help's on the way, and nothing happened.
03:28That's why I am confident that President Trump will get an outcome consistent with those three statements through diplomacy or
03:35military force.
03:36Let me just say this.
03:37Any deal about Iran has to come to the Senate.
03:41I'm not going to bless a bad deal.
03:43They're not out in the street because of limiting the nuclear ambitions of the Ayatollah.
03:48They're out in the street because life is miserable.
03:51People can't have a decent quality life.
03:54They live in fear.
03:55And most Iranians have had it.
03:57They'd like a new start.
