00:09MixBlick is a social enterprise that empowers women from across the globe that recently moved to the Netherlands, many of
00:15whom are refugees.
00:17Over two dozen women come here several times a week to combine their passion for cooking with courses to help
00:24with integration.
00:26It's very difficult when you're coming to Europe and to the Netherlands to participate in our society.
00:34So we learn them Dutch courses, but also many things that you need to know about the Dutch working culture.
00:44And they are really good in preparing food, so they want to work in the food sector, and that's what
00:49we are doing here.
00:50The international selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes reflects the global community MixBlick has fostered.
00:58And what you see is that if there is one woman sick, then everybody is starting to cook and bringing
01:04a lot of meals to their home
01:06and making sure that the home is clean when they are leaving.
01:10And they are really taking care of each other because they understand each other's situation.
01:16And it's not just the ladies who are here in our program, but it's also we work with a lot
01:22of volunteers who are supporting these women.
01:25And they go with them to the hospital or to the family doctor to be sure that they can understand
01:32really well what's going on.
01:35The meals in the colorful cans are not just eye-catching to look at.
01:39The choice of packaging is intentional.
01:42The tin can was chosen for its sustainable qualities.
01:46MixBlick also only sources organic and local ingredients from farmers near Rotterdam.
