Stonewall Pride flag raised anew after removal sparked protests

A rainbow Pride flag is raised anew by New York officials and activists at the Stonewall National Monument in Manhattan after the National Park Service removed it under a Trump administration directive that only allows US or officially authorized flags on federal sites. The flag's removal from the historic monument, considered the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, sparked protests and condemnation from the city's mayor and state leaders, who demanded the flag's return and vowed to restore it on the monument's flagpole.
