00:26who is now literally blaming the TVK for how it was not just Karoor but now Salem and he's
00:37put out a picture to that effect rather insensitive as that post reads and I quote carry your coffin
00:47to attend Vijay's rally.
00:54Apoorma joining us on the phone line with further details. Apoorma very insensitive because they may be targeting Vijay there
01:00but not fair to mock somebody's death like that. The man has passed away in Salem. Yes, what happened in
01:07Karoor, what has happened in Salem
01:08which I should be questioned on that. TVK should be questioned on that. But to play out your politics at
01:14a time so sensitive, extremely unfair.
01:17Well, that's right. In fact, you know, you see, you know, at this unfortunate incident that has taken place at
01:25Vijay's rally
01:27there despite all the protocols that had been managed by the TVK team. In fact, what the TVK is saying
01:33is that they had given proper, you know, they had followed the SOPs to the T and that, you know,
01:39be it 5,000 people were only allowed, they had asked for only 4,998 tickets to be given.
01:46However, what we are getting to learn from police sources is that over 7,000 people are attending what we
01:52are getting to learn.
01:53And it was during these crowds that you can see, unfortunately, one man has passed away due to dehydration is
02:00what we have been initially told by officials as well.
02:03And now the AIADMK has mocked, you know, this yet again, saying that, you know, this is time and time
02:10again, should people be going ahead for such rallies and they better be equipped with carrying their own coffers so
02:16that, you know, it is convenient for them, less yet another incident as such, you know, happened.
02:22But let's not forget from the visuals that are coming out now. Just look at the kind of crowds and
02:27just look at, you know, how that person there, he has been carried by the TVK workers, by the emergency
02:33authorities there who are trying to revive him and resuscitate him.
02:37And, you know, the sheer amount of, you know, efforts that are being made. Unfortunate that this death has taken
02:43place.
02:43And even TVK has also brought out statements wherein they have offered condolences to the family there.
02:50What we are getting to learn is that this person who has passed away, unfortunately, had passed away after suffering
02:56from a heart attack and he had been suffering from illness earlier on and dehydration, which later on caused a
03:02heart attack, is what sources do tell us.
03:04Initially, the AIADMK yet again taking to bat against Vijay, saying that, you know, at this time and juncture as
03:12well, going ahead and saying that, you know, people who are going to such rallies, they must bring ahead coffers
03:18so that they can go back home in coffers that definitely does look like an insensitive statement that has been
03:25put out.
03:26Oh, yes, absolutely. Extremely insensitive there coming at a time like this.
03:30However, fact is that questions do point at the TVK, at the organisers, especially after what happened in Karoor.
03:38And while the trauma of that still remains fresh, here was another incident that was reported in Salem at Vijay's
03:46rally, where although that man had a heart condition, but what really led to his death, it could have been
03:52suffocation.

04:02But Apoorva, before I let you go, let me also understand one thing of what the TVK is at right
04:14now.
04:14We've seen a confrontation with journalists. We've seen that they are in the eye of the storm, given all their
04:21political rivals.
04:22And how the targeting has already begun on social media.
04:28But, questions certainly on their management, on the way it was organised, on whether there were any lapses on part
04:35of the TVK.
04:38And, what is coming out in this particular case? What led to the death of that man?

04:49Alright, not too sure if Apoorva is still connected with us, but there you see the sort of politics that
04:53is now playing out.
04:54And, the rivals of TVK now targeting Vijay.
05:00But, this time around, it is an insensitive post that has come in, pointing at Vijay, saying that you should
05:12carry your coffin to attend Vijay's rally.
05:15Yes, that's the sort of post that has come in from the AIDMK leader, Kovai Satya.
05:20This, even as the DMK, is now questioning Vijay over the organisation of that rally.
05:27And, most importantly, asking how many lives will TVK take before the polls?
05:32I believe Apoorva is back with us.
05:34Apoorva, this political attack that is really mounting, so it's not just the AIDMK, but now even DMK, just asking
05:42that question straight up.
05:44Point is that it does lead to a lot of frustration over the fact that such incidents are happening at
05:51Vijay's rallies.
05:53Well, definitely, you know, we are, you know, we are seeing the backlash from these lives that have unfortunately been
06:01lost.
06:02Earlier on, as well, you know, we had seen how in Karoor, in that stampede that took place, 41 innocent
06:08lives have been lost.
06:09And, yet again, today we are seeing that one person has succumbed to a heart attack there caused by dehydration.
06:16The TVK leaders do accept that he had partaken in the rally that had taken place here.
06:23Let's take a step back and look at what were the arrangements that were done.
06:27The TVK had put out that they were giving tickets to only 4,998 people to, you know, witness the
06:35rally there.
06:35This rally had taken place between the afternoon time of 12 noon and 3 p.m.,
06:40which is, you know, in the scorching heat here in Salem, in Tamil Nadu.
06:45And, you know, there wasn't any roofs or there wasn't any kind of shelter that was provided to these 4
06:50,498 people who had gathered there for the TVK there.
06:58And also the DMK and the AIA-DMK, not just these Dravidian parties,
07:03but it also looks like other parties are also looking at claiming the TVK for the lack of proper coordination,
07:10for the lack of proper arrangements that the TVK had failed to do.
07:14Yes, they did, you know, follow the proper SOPs that were issued post-Karoor Stampede
07:20that to ensure that these kind of accidents did not happen.
07:23But was there any roof kind of protection that was given to these cadres who had come from long and
07:29far?
07:30Officials and authorities who spoke to our reporters here at India today have already stated that,
07:36no, the numbers were given 4,998 people who will be attending.
07:40The numbers were far more exceeding the amount, which was close to 7,000 to 8,000 cadres who had
07:46gathered there.
07:46Yet again, a violation.
07:48And why wasn't it that when this rally was planned, why wasn't there a proper, you know,
07:53regulation that had been set in place by TVK organisers?
07:56Yet again, all of this pinpointing by the DMK and the AIA-DMK and the other political parties
08:02throwing dirt at Vijay, throwing dirt at the TVK there, blaming them, saying why was it that a second kind
08:08of such instance
08:09has happened yet again during Vijay's political rallies here, be it the Salem incident or be it the Karoor incident
08:17or now be it at Salem.
08:19Apoorva, this is only just the beginning as this incident has been reported.

08:31to what really happened to that man and why is it that such lapses especially occurring at Vijay's rallies.
