Seth and Sean dive into how folks responded to Sean's PenderPoll asking if and to what extent people pee in the pool. Then Sean lays out a trend showing why the Texans must have a new leading rusher next season.

00:00This topic has grown legs for a couple of days.
00:04Urination in different places other than the bathroom,
00:08where Seth went to get the moisturizer and took care of his business, right?
00:13So then this all started with Chad Ochocinco and Shannon Sharp a few days ago
00:17on the Nightcap podcast, where Shannon Sharp talked about visiting Ochocinco
00:22and during that conversation, visiting him at Ochocinco's home
00:25and then learning in the process that, well, I'm probably not going to use
00:28any of the showers there because Ochocinco pees in the shower.
00:31I don't wear shower shoes in my shower because I find clean.
00:34No, no, no.
00:36You wouldn't want to pee in the shower.
00:38I would get out the shower and pee.
00:41You peeing?
00:42Oh, Lord, have mercy, George.
00:44This man paused.
00:45This man pee in the shower.
00:46Hold on.
00:47You don't pee in the shower?
00:49You got to get out?
00:52Unc, you tripping.
00:53I'm going to stay at the hotel.
00:54Stay at the hotel that's close by.
00:55Unc, who the hell gets out the shower to pee?
01:00What are we talking about?
01:02Me.
01:04For what?
01:05Chad, y'all get out the shower to pee?
01:08I know, and they better not laugh.
01:10Hey, everybody's trying to act all damn bougie.
01:12The water's already running.
01:14What you getting out?
01:14Aim down the drain.
01:16What are we doing?
01:17I'm good, Ochocinco.
01:17I'm good.
01:18Like I say, just let me know the closest hotel to you.
01:21I'm good.
01:22Ain't no hotels to me.
01:23We're good, Ben.
01:24We're good.
01:25We're good.
01:25We're good.
01:25The general consensus on that issue seems to be that people either pee in the shower or
01:32they lie about being in the shower.
01:34That seems to be the general consensus there.
01:36And I put up the poll for your request, Seth, a couple of days ago.
01:40And as it turns out, 75% of the followers of mine that replied to it said, yes, I pee
01:46in the shower.
01:47Plus, you know what?
01:48When Chad said, y'all trying to act all bougie, what I thought of was like, no, actually,
01:54peeing in the shower is something that you could feel like super rich and fancy about.
02:00Yeah.
02:01One of those old French kings used to poop in front of an audience.
02:07That was because he felt like the people needed to see and know that his king was healthy or
02:11something or anything.
02:12So he would actually, he had a special potty that he would use in front of an audience in
02:20the morning.
02:20Like his court would be sitting there watching him poop.
02:23Observe the royal colon.
02:24It works.
02:25Yeah.
02:26Yes.
02:26So don't be ashamed of it.
02:28Live stream it if you're a real man.
02:30Oh, stop.
02:31Ooh.
02:31Okay.
02:32So I put up a poll.
02:33Hold on.
02:33I'm going to put that in my big book.
02:35About the next book of things that I don't want you to tell me about ever again.
02:39Things that maybe there's a niche for, for me on OnlyFans.
02:40Here's the follow.
02:43You're probably not lying there.
02:44Yeah.
02:46Here is the follow up Pender poll from the one on the post above, which was about peeing
02:51in the shower.
02:51It's established that a majority of you pee in the shower.
02:54This one is even more important.
02:56Do you pee in the pool?
02:57I gave three choices.
02:59Okay.
03:00This is not a simple yes or no in my mind.
03:02Yeah.
03:03Yes, but only in my own swimming pool, like my backyard pool.
03:07Oh, yeah.
03:07Yes.
03:08Any pool, anytime.
03:11No, I never pee in the pool.
03:13Okay.
03:14Okay.
03:14So you, this, it's your turn to get, those are the three choices.
03:17Yeah.
03:17Now, boy, the yes in my own pool is an interesting one.
03:20I'd never, when I've had a swimming pool, um, I never did in my own pool.
03:25I don't think I have.
03:26Now I wish I had.
03:28Right.
03:28Cause that makes sense.
03:30Um, right.
03:31I feel like that's different than peeing in the pool at the golden nugget or something
03:34like that.
03:34Right, right, right.
03:35It's just the volume of pee, uh, that nobody else is.
03:39If it's just me out by myself in the afternoon or something.
03:42I wish I'd peed in the pool that I had in my backyard when my neighbors came over and decided
03:46to use it without my permission.
03:48Right.
03:48I wish I walked up to them and peed in the pool.
03:51Like it was a urinal in front of them while they and their kids were in the pool.
03:55Yeah.
03:55You wish you'd just gone ahead and done the full, the full Monty, the one and the two.
03:59I wish I'd peed in a bucket for four days.
04:01And then when I saw the father of that family in the pool, grab that bucket and just dumped
04:04it on his head.
04:05Yeah.
04:06That's what I wish.
04:06Anyways.
04:07So, uh, okay.
04:08I'm guessing.
04:09Okay.
04:09That's an interesting one.
04:10In my own pool.
04:11What percentage of people have their own pools, et cetera, et cetera.
04:13Yeah.
04:14That's that factor that in because that's going to be a, that hits the numbers.
04:18Yeah.
04:18I think that.
04:19So, okay.
04:20So three choices are in my own pool.
04:22And then what are the second, third?
04:23Yes.
04:24Any pool, anytime.
04:25And then just a flat out.
04:26No, never.
04:27I think yes.
04:27Any pool, anytime.
04:30Anytime, I think that's especially, that's, I, I bet there's people who have peed in the
04:34pool, but felt like, okay, it was a special circumstance.
04:37Yeah.
04:37These are chronic.
04:38I was really drunk.
04:39I'm talking to chronic.
04:40I'm going to say 15% of people would say that.
04:42Yes.
04:42Any pool, anytime.
04:43Yeah.
04:44Uh, no, no, you're off on that one.
04:47You want me to tell you the percentage on that one?
04:5032.9%.
04:5332.9%.
04:54Oh, no, no.
04:57Any pool, anytime.
04:58And these are mostly adults.
05:00Oh, no.
05:0132.9%, any pool, anytime.
05:038.6%, yes, but only in their own pool.
05:07Okay.
05:07So you add that up and that's 40.5%.
05:11I think it's an acceptable, uh, you know.
05:14Sorry, 41.5% think it's acceptable to pee in a pool, whether it's their own or whether
05:20it's at resorts or public pools.
05:23So whenever I'm in a public pool, I'm looking around and one in, one of three of these people
05:28is, uh, is, is peeing.
05:31It's peeing.
05:32Oh.
05:33Yeah.
05:33If it's the owner of the resort, then also that might be a little bit higher too.
05:38Yeah.
05:38Uh, but the bottom, I'll tell you, I wasn't, I was actually encouraged that no got the
05:43majority.
05:45If you want to know the truth, 50, one in three is a pretty big number when you're in a
05:49crowded
05:49pool.
05:49It is, it is, but boy, so many people on that shower thing were just standing on business
05:55that, Hey man, just go pee.
05:57You know, what's weird is so both Brandy and I grew up, uh, you know, Brandy grew up on a
06:02dairy farm.
06:02My family were all dairy farmers.
06:04Well, I guess I grew up partly on, it's complicated.
06:06Uh, my dad, you know, interesting dude.
06:08Yes.
06:09Um, but like when you're on dairy farms as a kid, uh, like there's times in the summer
06:13where sometimes it's enjoyable to walk through the manure because it's nice and cool.
06:18Uh, you get to a point where manure is just no big deal whatsoever.
06:21Yeah.
06:22Uh, it just, you, you wade through it at times you have to, it's, uh, uh, like you don't,
06:28you think nothing manure might as well be mud and you don't think anything of it.
06:32So how have I gotten from that point as a child where I looked at cow manure?
06:36It's basically just another type of mud.
06:39Right, right, right.
06:40That, uh, that now I can't handle the thought of a little bit of really dilute urine floating
06:46around me when I'm in a pool.
06:48Yeah.
06:48Hitting your body.
06:49Right.
06:49Uh, but I don't like it.
06:50I don't like it at all.
06:51I don't like it either.
06:52I don't like it either.
06:53Do you ever go underwater in the pool too?
06:56A lot with my eyes open.
06:58Oh, uh, I see that anymore.
07:00No, I don't go underwater.
07:00I I'll stand in the pool just to cool off, you know, I get on the same.
07:05I'm a little bit of a frog.
07:05Cause we talked about this yesterday.
07:07Well, I love swimming in lakes and lakes are lakes are full of all kinds of excrement from
07:12various creatures.
07:13Amy and I are looking for a lake to go to this summer.
07:16Yeah.
07:16I want to go to a lake this summer.
07:17Yeah.
07:20I got to get over this, I guess I'm going to have to, I'm just, you know what?
07:23Maybe the best way to get over it is to become one of the, the free and free and willing
07:27urinators in a public pool.
07:29That's it, man.
07:29Maybe you can't beat him.
07:30Join him.
07:30Maybe that's the solution.
07:32I, I await all of the forthcoming invitations to pool parties.
07:35Yes.
07:36Uh, as people can go much like King Louis the 14th, I will stand Pope Zaza will come.
07:43If you're, if you're having a pool opening party this spring, invite me, I will come in
07:49full Pope Zaza garb and, uh, I will, I will christen your pool with my urine as I stand
07:56in it, arms outstretched and inform everybody that I am peeing in front of you.
08:01You're going to get at least a handful of serious invites for that.
08:04I can't wait.
08:06Um, okay.
08:07So the one, the Texans have a negative streak going on that I actually feel like needs to
08:13continue next season.
08:14If they're going to become a better football team.
08:16Did you know that the Texans have had a different player lead them in carries on offense each
08:26of the last eight years?
08:28Um, and I think they need a different one next year if they're going to become a better
08:33football team.
08:34These are the, these are the names.
08:36This goes back to 2018 Lamar Miller.
08:39Ah, underappreciated, underappreciated towards knee in 2019, which necessities in the, in
08:44training camp, which necessitated the trade for Carlos Hyde, 2019, a man who at the time
08:51people would be angry at the Texans for letting Carlos Hyde go and walk out the door.
08:56You know, Carlos Hyde ended up sending, spending, uh, signing a deal for less money than the Texans
09:01had offered him.
09:02Yeah.
09:03Yeah.
09:03That's right.
09:04The Texans actually gave him his best offer.
09:07He said, no, I'm out of here.
09:08But then we somehow got angry at the Texans, not for retaining him, even though they offered him
09:12the most money, yep. Um, the next year, because Carlos Hyde left, of course they traded for David
09:17Johnson, David Johnson, who everybody in the Texans organization knew because this is the way it
09:23works with running backs is, Hey, it's just a matter of time until he replicates his effort
09:28from five years ago, dude. Yes. I don't know if there's a player. And I think David Johnson
09:32still lives here in Houston. We Amy and I were on a plane that his family was on from Houston
09:37when we went to Jamaica this summer, um, this past summer. Yeah. So I think he still lives
09:41here. Well, you run into a, it's a hub, you know, you run into a lot of people. Yeah, yeah,
09:45yeah, yeah. No, but he, we saw him like in check-in and whatever, like, I think he still
09:49lives here. Um, so, um, uh, David Johnson, there may not be a player who has a bigger difference
09:57in film from like the, the, his heyday to the Texans get like, he just looked like he
10:03didn't really feel like playing football much anymore by the time. Yeah. He just didn't break
10:07tackles down very easily. The one was the, was it a Cardinals game? It was really annoying because
10:13the, the, the Cardinals were playing a very soft defense and David Johnson had a few nice runs and
10:18people, people desperately wanted to have something to cling onto. And they said, there he is. He's back
10:23the season opener that year in 2020 was the Thursday night game against the Kansas city chiefs.
10:28That was a COVID year. Yeah. And he had like an 18 yard touchdown run to open the scoring of
10:33the season in the NFL. And Chris Collinsworth was like, well, this looks like a pretty good trade.
10:38The Texans made. Yeah. Now let's get back to talking about Pat Mahomes, which he probably did.
10:43It was a chiefs game. Uh, so David Johnson, not so great in 2020, which necessitated Rex
10:49Burkhead leading the team in carries in 2021. Yeah. That's probably the, that's probably the lowest
10:54point in Texans rushing offense history, right? Anytime you've got a guy who was a nice complimentary
10:59piece on a really good football team. You got to try to take them and make them a feature back.
11:05Uh, because that's worked out so many times with various running backs out of new England in the
11:10past. Yes. That's a, that was boy. That was a great blueprint. More, more depressing. David
11:15Cully is the head coach or Rex Burkhead as your bell cow running back. Rex Burkhead because well,
11:19with both those guys, I felt bad for both those guys because both of them were good dudes who were
11:24put
11:25into a position that they probably knew the deal suited to be in. Yeah. So you always fell. I,
11:31I still feel bad about David Cully. Haven't even, I don't feel too bad about him because a,
11:36he knew what he was getting into and B they paid him a lot of money. Uh, he was, uh,
11:41he was handsomely
11:41rewarded. Burkhead likewise. I don't think Burkhead ever in his dreams thought, yeah, I'm going to go
11:46and be the, the thing that changes Houston's fate. What I, what I needed to be is the feature back
11:51down
11:51there. This is the one that in retrospect, if we were keeping track of this back in the day,
11:56we probably would have thought, okay, this is going to break this streak. Damien Pierce,
11:592022 rookie year. That was genuinely something to get excited about. Absolutely. He was the only
12:04thing to get excited about back in 2020. Force swarm. Yep. He was sworn before swarm was even a
12:11thing here in Houston. He absolutely was. Um, he just, just couldn't run outside zone,
12:16just couldn't run the slow system. So in 2023, Devin Singletary became a leading carrier.
12:24There you go. He's all right. Yeah. He had some good games. Um, not ideal. Uh, the giants thought
12:29he was ideal. They gave him a contract as we saw on hard knocks, um, which then led to,
12:34I think the Texans finally, if you look at all these names, they finally found somebody,
12:37the next guy who you thought and hoped would be a multi-year guy. Hell, they gave him a three
12:42-year
12:42contract extension by definition. That means they thought he would be the multi-year lead back Joe
12:47Mixon 2024. Who's probably the best out of all these names. Uh, you know, certainly had the best
12:54season out of all these names. He's probably the best player of any of these guys we've rattled off
12:58here, but that's seven years in a row last year that you had a different ball carrier. So then Joe
13:04Mixon has this mysterious injury. So you're going to have somebody else, whether it's Nick Chubb or
13:10Woody Marks leads the team and carries this past season, which is why Seth, I say that
13:16this streak, which is not a positive streak. At some point you want to settle on somebody.
13:21I think a lot of the good teams have a running back over these last eight years that they've
13:25leaned on for two or three years at a time. Yeah. I think this streak needs to actually
13:30continue. If the Texans are going to be a better football team next year. In other words,
13:33Woody Marks can't be their leading ball carrier again next year. Well, yeah, I would love for
13:37Woody Marks to be one of your leading receivers in terms of number of receptions. And that works
13:45if you end up having a guy that's also just more of a workhorse back or whatever. It's interesting
13:50because like, like Jameer Gibbs would be the, the easy comp that at the time Woody Marks got drafted,
13:57you were wondering if, okay, can this be kind of like David Montgomery and Jameer Gibbs up in Detroit?
14:02Jameer Gibbs became is, is, was definitively the lead back for the lions this year. And he's a
14:09smaller guy, just like Woody Marks. So I don't want to count Woody Marks out that from that completely,
14:15but they still do have that nice dynamic in Detroit where they can offset a bigger guy with a smaller
14:21guy. And just from game plan to game plan, just whatever's working, however, your offense evolves
14:27over the season, then there we go. We're off to the races with that. And that's, that's the dream
14:32scenario is to have, if you had a guy like Joe Mixon, all right, that's that David Montgomery,
14:37Jameer Gibbs, one, two punch. Yep. Absolutely. All right. Pain and Pendergast with you on a Thursday,
14:42you can text in on the base power text line, 713-572-4610. Do you agree with what we just
14:48talked about there? Does Woody Marks need to be not the leading ball carrier next year for the Texans?
14:5577 receptions this year. Who did? Jameer Gibbs. Oh, he was amazing. Yeah. Fantasy,
14:59fantasy killer, man.
