00:10So what is a high-on-life game?
00:12And I think for me, those things are always going to be the talking alien guns.
00:17We can't just leave them like this.
00:19There's a bunch of fresh takes on all the guns this time.
00:21And in this game, we were able to push it a little further.
00:23Like, okay, they're not just talking guns.
00:25What's the extra gag on top?
00:26Like, we have a gun named Sheath, who is a professional assassin
00:30that the player is going to come across in the game.
00:32He's on the verge of death,
00:33and he asks you to put him on life support and turn him into a gun.
00:37Separate my head from my torso,
00:40and I will myself become the deadliest of them.
00:43So you get to take Ralph Einstein's character's head
00:45and put him on your gun.
00:49Sheath is played by Ralph Einstein,
00:51and Ralph Einstein is an actor I've always wanted to work with.
00:55His voice and his presence are just so amazing.
00:59And the idea was to make sort of an edgelord gun
01:01that kind of gets reformed over the course of the game.
01:05And so initially, all he cares about is his mission.
01:08And as you go through the game,
01:10he starts to learn what it's like to be a part of a team.
01:12We make a good team.
01:13Perhaps it truly is fate that brought us together.
01:16We have a bow and arrow gun,
01:17who is extremely fun, voiced by Frankie Quinonez.
01:20And we have a married couple gun
01:22that's like a dual-wielding pistol situation,
01:25but we've decided, since these are living guns,
01:27oh, what if the dual-wielding pistols you had
01:29were married to each other and bickering
01:30and on the verge of divorce?
01:31You kind of start with one,
01:33and then you end up with two later on,
01:34and it's sort of a couple going through a breakup.
01:37And when you get them back together,
01:39there's little fights they had,
01:40but then they're very passionate,
01:41so there's little, like, love moments and stuff, too.
01:44That's really fun.
01:45We have a couple returning guns.
01:47We have Sweezy, we have Gus,
01:49and we have Creature, voiced by Betsy Sodaro,
01:51JB Smoove, and Tim Robinson, respectively.
01:54They're all coming back,
01:55but then we have a bunch of new guns
01:56with a lot of completely fresh ideas attached to them.
02:00We're really trying to,
02:01so that, like, our shooting feels amazing,
02:04no matter which weapon that you want to use.
02:08But at the same time,
02:09we also made an effort to really have sections
02:13of the game where it's, like,
02:15you want to switch,
02:16especially on the harder difficulties.
02:18I think we're really going to encourage you
02:21to be using all the tools in your toolbox,
02:24and those tools are hilarious talking guns for our game.
02:27And so there's a bunch of fresh takes on all the guns this time,
02:29and that still feels very high on life to me.
02:33It's still in the spirit of the first game,
02:35but we're pushing things further.
