00:23have intensified their statements of political and diplomatic support for Cuba
00:30amidst the serious energy crisis stemmed from the fuel embargo
00:35imposed by the United States against the island.
00:38In recent statements, the government's spokesperson, Lin Jian,
00:42affirmed that China firmly supports Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty
00:49and its national security, and opposed foreign interference,
00:54reiterated that Beijing will always provide support and assistance to the island.

01:11opposes foreign interference, and strongly condemns any inhuman acts or behavior
01:16that deprive the Cuban people of their right to survival and development.

01:24Regarding the specific details of the assistance,
01:26both sides will negotiate through bilateral channels.
01:30In January, China had already sent 60,000 tons of rice
01:35and $80 million in emergency aid to Cuba,
01:40alleviating food shortage caused by the United States embargo.
