Fender Custom Shop Masterbuilder Andy Hicks introduces his latest creations: the Haunted Stratocaster and Telecaster. He explains how the wood, sourced from a haunted, abandoned factory in Pittsburgh, inspired the concept of spirits taking over the instruments, resulting in these incredibly unique designs.

00:05This is Andy Hicks. Welcome to the Fender event for 2026. I wanted to share with you guys some
00:11cool guitars that I did for the event. We've got the Haunted Telecaster and the Haunted Stratocaster.
00:18The idea behind these guitars is that the storied wood that I was using to make the guitars is
00:24coming from a haunted abandoned factory from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It's American chestnut
00:30wood. My idea was if the wood is haunted we would make these classic Fender guitars and eventually
00:38like the spirits of the wood would come out and kind of take over the guitar. So I teamed up with
00:44my favorite tattoo artist who does all my tattoos. This guy Turk who owns and operates Left Hand Black
00:50Studio. We got the Telecaster. It's a it's a 50s Telecaster. Exactly what you'd expect. That's been
00:58turned into like this eldritch horror creation with these glowing orange eyes. This haunted Picard
01:06like this kind of cool purple green color scheme going on. You got the wormholes showing through
01:12and then the Stratocaster. You got your cool skull here with some red splatter across the thing.
01:18You've got this like red anodized guard on here. The specs are very uh like traditional
01:25Strats and Tele specs for for the 50s and the 60s but the they've been haunted by this cool American chestnut.
